Part of the reason for that (apart from her superhuman pipes) is the way she throws herself into a song with total emotional commitment, taking nothing lightly. That kind of earnestness serves her in good stead on this collection of Christmas tunes. Tackling both the traditional ("Ave Maria," "Adeste Fideles") and the modern (John Lennon's "Happy Xmas") Dion invests these yuletide songs with just ...

Celine's Holiday CD

Created: 05/03/07
I was at a Christmas concert last year when I first heard the song "Don't Save it all for Christmas Day". Someone told me that Celine Dion was the first one who recorded it so I bought this CD to hear her version of it. It was very different than what I had heard. She has her own style and her unique was of phrasing on the old standards is pure Celine. This might not set well with folks who like their carols sung the old fashioned way.

This is a nice holiday CD. Not as good as some others. But if you're a real Celine fan, this one shows off her voice with style and grace.

A Christmas CD to add to your collection!

Created: 09/11/10
I was raised listening to Perry Como and Andy Williams singing the old carols on LP's that were being played on my parents stereo - the ones that used to be the size of a small couch! I loved their voices so they became very special to me ... then as a teen I fell in love with the music of the Carpenters so their Christmas Holiday collection was another added to my Christmas favorites ... and now this. Celine Dion brings passion to all her music and it is no different with this piece of work. So, whether you just want to have it playing softly in the background, or playing to put you in the mood to wrap the 255 presents you bought...you will not be sorry you have purchased it. It is definitely a keeper!

Christmas CD by Celine Dion

Created: 11/01/10
I bought this CD because my dad loves the way she sing Christmas Eve. He said out of all the version of that song she sings it the best. So if you are a Celine Dion fan my dad recommends this CD for your Christmas music pressure.

These Are Special Times - Dion, Celine (CD 2001)

Created: 19/12/08
Celine Dion has to be the best female artist I have heard in the past 40 years of music listening. This CD has every style and range she can belt out. Her voice is absolutely incredible and angelic. The CD is real mood elevator of holiday spirit filled with love. If you ever have a chance to see this artist live in concert you will not be disappointed - her professionalism and clean performances leave you with belief that there are still performers like this that believe in wholesomeness. God Bless you, Celine, for being the passionate and loving woman you are. You have renewed my faith in 21st Century!

Celine Dion CD

Celine Dion has such an amazing voice that I could listen to her all day. All the songs on this CD are very good, but "O Holy Night" and "Ava Maria" are so very beautiful. I don't think I've heard anyone do them as well as Celine Dion.
