Thomas & Friends: Hero of the Rails - The Movie (DVD, 2009)

Listen....if there was a video with Thomas just sitting there blowing his whistle every 3 seconds - my 4 year old Grandson would LOVE IT - and if he loves it - then I Love it too ... ;) This is a cute story (as is usual) and it ends on a happy note .. actually important ... I personally like the updated Thomas stories--where Thomas' mouth moves! LOL And we love Hiro the new addition...is there MORE TOYS now? lol - We are looking forward of course to the new movie Misty Island Rescue - not only for the movie but the new Thomas toys! Wahhh hooo - there goes MY retirement funds - well you never will see a hearse pulling a Uhaul - right?

This is an incredibly engaging full-length Thomas the train movie. My son is 4 and absolutely in love with the little blue tank engine and all his friends. This has the trains animated and it's a great story for young and old alike. A great reminder to help people who need it. I would recommend this to any Thomas the Train fan and even to those who've never seen any of the movies before. It's a great, heart warming story.

I am so glad they finally came out with a new format for these Thomas DVD's. I found the old narrative format of the older Thomas DVD's so boring. I had to sit through watching the old style Thomas DVD's with 2 kids. I felt like pulling my hair out and I could not understand what kids saw in these DVD's.

This new Thomas DVD has the trains actually speaking in their own voices. Their faces actually move too which helps make the trains look less creepy. The storylines are much improved and much more enjoyable for adults to sit through.

My 2 year old son loved watching this DVD. I'm sure we will be watching it together over and over again for the next few months.

I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone who has a child who is as crazy for Thomas as my 2 year old son is.

I love watching this DVD with both of my young boys (2years old and 13months old) and they both love watching too. The story follows along the same ideas and morals of the original Thomas episodes. This story encourages meeting new people and being kind to strangers. It also encourages kids to seek help from their friends when they need it. I never understood the draw to this show before, but after watching this movie I will be buying more Thomas videos for my sons.

First I just want to say .. Thomas can talk! This is the first movie I have seen where Thomas actually moves his lips. My 4 year old son absolutely loooves this movie! with tons of racing and roaring down the track, it's sure to be a favorite! It has great characters both old and new and a great plot that will keep your little one engaged for the entire film. My son has memorized the song at the end and knows most of the movie by heart. I am glad they are making more animated movies, because we will definitely be buying more. This film is great for the Thomas enthusiasts and those who haven't been introduced yet. There isn't really anything I don't like about the film it's just great fun. So grab some fishie crackers and your sippy cup and check this movie out!
