Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage (DVD, 2008)

I bought Christmas Cottage as a gift for my Mom but I really enjoyed watching it with her. The movie starts of slow but it really makes up for it later. It's about Thomas Kinkade's life and the way he came to find his "light". An excellent movie and it's filled with family and live values.

I have to tell you that this is about the best Christmas movies to come out in a long time. Jared Padelecki does a great job. Peter O'Toole one of the great actors did an amazing perfomance as a aging Painter that has a profound impact on a young painters life. (Thomas Kincaid)This is movie is about being grateful for what we have and the impact just a small amount of kindess can have on another person life. Giving of oneself.It is a movie for the whole family. About the true meaning of Christmas. I can't reccomend it enough. I rented it and then had to buy it. Don't miss out.

Enjoyed this true story of Kinkade's early life. Learning his art in our local foothills of Placerville. Really hit home. Loved the Christmas theme!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MOVIE!VERY INSPIRING!WHAT I LOVED MOST,I GUESS IF I HAD TO CHOOSE,IS THIS MOVIE IS BASED ON THOMAS KINKADE'S BIOGRAPHY.HOW HE BEGAN HIS CAREER IN PAINTING!HE SORT OF JUST FELL INTO IT,IT WAS PRETTY FUNNY HOW HE ONLY WANTED TO PAINT A MURAL BECAUSE HE NEEDED THE MONEY FOR HIS MOTHER WITH NO INTEREST IN PURSUING PAINTING AFTERWARDS.THANK GOODNESS THAT HE DID BECAUSE HIS WORK IS TRUELY AMAZING!

We like Thomas KinKade's work. We like movies build around real life events. Everyone can learn something from another. For our family, it's not just for entertainment we watch movies, but for learning values. This was a great movie.
