Movie synopsis
The Musketeers, 16th Century defenders of the French monarch, have just been disbanded by the duplicitous Cardinal Richelieu. Now only three of them remain--Athos, Prothos and Aramis--to stand in the way of Richelieu who's plotting to overthrow the young King and assume the throne. Barely post-pubescent, His Royal Highness is extremely vulnerable to Richelieu's elaborate political machinations; but fortunately, D'Artagnan, a young man longing to join forces with the Musketeers, happens along. D'Artagnan's worldly idealism and reverence for the Musketeers infuses the trio with a renewed sense of importance as they unite one for all and all for one. The classic adventure tale updated, with soundtrack music by Sting, Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart.

AND THE EVIL ROYAL ADVISOR AND CARDNAL (TIM CURRY) AND A SEUCTIVE ENVOY (REBECCA DE MORNAY) ON HOW THEY WILL OVERTHROW THE CROWN OF FRANCE AND ALSO HOW CURRY'S ROLE ON HOW TO STOP AND BANISH THE MUSKETEERS. A GREAT MOVIE I LOVED IT.

How can anyone say this movie isn't better then the original(s)?..it left me hoping for a sequel..sadly, it never happened! a virtual movie star lovers feast with Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O'Donnel, Oliver Platt, Tim Curry and Rebecca De Morney..amazingly enough two of the stars starred in my other favorite movie "Flatliners"..the one liners were hysterical, the sword play was action packed and the ending had me rolling with laughter..funny from beginning to end this movie may not be for the very young, but for the more mature this movie is a hoot!

) What made this movie so good was a combination of characters/actors but they were not the main ones. Tim Curry was incredible as the corrupt cardinal with great lines and a sinster way about him. Rebecca De Mornay has developed into a beautiful woman who was a very convincing Lady DeWinter and Micheal Wincott did an excellent job as Rochefort. He is another good bad guy from The Crow days. But, lest ye get excited that I did not mention Charlie Sheen, Keifer Sutherland and Oliver Platt, they were good as Arimis, Athos and Porthos but their performances were hindered by Chris O'Donnel. Mr. O'donnel couldn't act his way out of a wet paper bag. However, I still liked this movie.

i enjoy the movie big time. Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O'Donnell, Charlie Sheen, Oliver Platt, Tim Curry, what's not to like?
The Three Musketeers

I decided to add this video (again) to my collection. I don't know what I did with my first copy (probably sold it on eBay)! I liked the light humor and non-stop adventure. Casting for each Musketeer was superbly done. Tim Curry is excellent in any roll he portrays. The plot may be simple but it doesn’t go astray too much. It is a nice change of pace from other action/adventure movies that have loud explosions, major gun/artillery battles, screaming and yelling, and so forth. A must have for any DVD collection.
