Time Crisis II (Sony PlayStation 2, 2001)

GAMEPLAY [Singleplayer]- (5 STARS)
Namco's Time Crisis 2 has done it again. It has brought the old duck and shoot formula from the original Time Crisis with better graphics and better gameplay better than ever. Bosses are more interesting and realistic better than before; environments are destructive; the enemy are smarter than before and take cover. Even with all these changes you will still be using the handgun and the duck and shoot formula will still be the same. Once in a while you will be given a chance to play with more weapons such as picking up a machine gun for a short while.

GUNCON 2- (4 STARS)
The Guncon 2 still uses the A & B buttons for ducking but are located right above the the trigger of the Guncon which makes reloading difficult which makes me quite disappointed. However a new D-pad is made on the back of the Guncon and allows some new gameplay experiance such as sniping in the 3rd Time Crisis. Keep in mind, the Guncon 2 is only compatible with CRV Tvs, not LCD, Plasma, and etc.

Multiplayer- (2 Stars)
Multiplayer is a very disappointment. You probably expect split screen gameplay to be split screen gameplay allowing each player to take up 50% of the screen, right? WRONG! The split screen gameplay only allows each player to take up about one sixth of the screen. It makes it very difficult to see and the accuracy of the guncon becomes very low.

New Features- (5 Stars)
Extra games makes the rating gives this category 5 stars. Targeting practice and two other Namco arcade games are included in this game which makes this game such a great deal.
Despite the extra games feature, the single player double gun feature is lamest idea for the game. Playing with one gun is 2X more fun than playing with two. As you might imagine, when holding two guns, reloading is impossible and the accuracy becomes very low.

Time Crisis II is definitely for the people who love lightgun games. Like the arcade version, it has all 3 stages with several areas each. Depending on the skill of the player, it can take 15 mins (the least i took) to probably 30 mins. This process isn't that bad since you will come back for more as there plenty of modes to play in after you beat the game. Aside from the main game itself, it also has several mini games and a extra missions mode which are quite challenging. The player will have several hours of playing due to these features. I would recommend this game to people who like the time crisis series, and those who want to try something new other than house of the dead. Great game overall

If you like playing video games with a guncon or guncon2, i recommend you to play this game. If you haven't played the arcade version at any place where they have this game, you must try it. This game is very fun when you get into it. You get to kill terroists and most of all it's free! Unlike the arcade version you have to pay a certain amount of coins to continue, while playing on the Ps2, it's totally FREE of charge. But you can get bored of it fast. Just a heads up to all you game players out there, try this game w/ a guncon gun! You will love it, as you will love playing the whole series to it. 5/5

Time Crisis II has you rocking through various scenerios trying to rescue Kristi Martin by shooting the bad guys and their evil leader Wild Dog. It is fast paced action and has a host of vaious settings including urban, forest, jet boats, moving train, warehouse, and others.

Time Crisis II is my favorite PS2 game ever. The kids love it too. The only way to play this game well is with a Guncon 2 pistol. The game also has alternate target practice type games that are slow but challenging. There is a two player setting; however the horizontal split screen is a bit small so I prefer solo play. If you like shooting games, this is the one to get.

I bought this item because i like it and so is my brother. We're like team player. We're like shooting in the screen, we felt like we're polieceman shooting the enemies. My brother was good than I, he said he used to played the arcade when he was in the Whimsey with his friends. He likes race, too. I used to go there sometimes, but it kind of waste of money so I bought this item that I could play it at home for free. No coins anymore. hahaha.
