Times to Come

Created: 07/02/07
This is an extremely rare Argentinian film that has gained a small cult following around the world. Never having seen it, I was curious as to all the hype.
Watching the film was like watching an amateur try and direct (I mean over direct) his/her first film. If you can get over the swirling camera and bizarre focal shots, you'll begin to notice a rather unique little flick.
Eerie and somewhat surreal, the story is about a young man accidentally shot at a police demonstration. He's taken to a hospital unlike any I've ever seen, with garbage everywhere and nurses who are never around. Once here, hallucinations start to haunt the injured young man. He begins to have an interest in the policeman who shot him and decides to confront him in a rather unique climax on an abandoned aircraft carrier.
All in all, worth seeing for its unique and interesting vision, even though the first half hour is rather dull.
