TimeSplitters 2 (Sony PlayStation 2, 2002)

This game is truly a masterpiece! You are a sic-fi age agent named Cortex and without giving the game away to everyone and ruining it, the basic idea is that you are travelling backwards and forwards in time to retrieve time crystals that have been stolen by aliens and taken to these other time eras. Interesting story right? Well it only gets better, This game has really good graphics! And one of the best arcade/multiplayer modes I have every seen in a game, it truly is a masterpiece, plus there are tons of characters you can be from zombies, to mutants even the hunchback! I recommend this game to anyone who likes a challenging first person shooter with a great storyline and arcade mode. My final rating of this game is a10 out of 10!

For those of you who didn't grow up in the days of split-screen multiplayer games, before the days of network adapters and Guitar Hero parties, I pity you. For those that did, Timesplitters 2 is the PS2's answer to your nostalgic-related problems. If you're familiar with the N64 game Goldeneye, you will love this game. It is made by the same developers, now known under Free Radical, since they broke off from Rare. If you haven't played Goldeneye, easily one of the best multiplayer games from it's time, or perhaps any time, I suggest you do so. It's one of the benchmarks of my childhood, I must admit.

Timesplitters 2, other than just nostalgia, offers good reasons to pick up this game. It's story mode is much improved over it's predecessor. It has about as many gameplay settings as you could dream of, including 16 multiplayer modes and up to 10 computer-controlled bots. It has it's own map editor, which is highly refined for a console game. It can have some of the most frantic and exciting gun battles you'll encounter.

And have you checked the prices lately? If you're shopping for reviews, I'd guess so. You can probably get the game for 5 bucks. Do it!

Goldeneye Freak-Turned Timesplitters Fan

One hell of a fun game. Great storyline, this is a high action first person shooter. And the multiplayer is even better! Play against multiple other players and CPUs, large variety of sweet weapons, good multiplayer arenas, and a truely diverse & large selection of different playable characters. Unfortunately only two charaters available to control in story mode, but that's still more than most games. And for the age of the game, the graphics are definately more than satisfactory!
Three words: BUY THIS GAME! (or atleast rent it some time!)

I played the third Timesplitters and loved it. This one is still ranked higher (gamerankings.com) so I bought it. Great story co-op mode, better than that of the third game. That's probably why it's ranked higher. Otherwise, gameplay is very similar in both games, the latest one being slightly more polished and modern-looking. But I still prefer this one for the great storyline and co-op mode. For those of you who don't know a lot about the game, it's a 1st person shooter but is silly and fun. You can play fun challenges in arcade mode, custom deathmatch, capture the flag, etc. Best as a multiplayer game, but still fun for one person.

I recently played this game at a friends house, IT's AWESOME the story is unbeleivable and the co-op is the best I have about 23 or 25 games I'm not sure but this has to be the funnest game(Next to Socom Navy SEAL's 3 of course). But I plan to buy this game for me. There is only one downside Everyone tries to rip people off example: one charges $12.99 for brand new and another charges $20.00 for used, I just hope there's better prices because my friend got his for $6.00
