Great Feel. Very High Maintenance.

Created: 14/07/08
The feel of this putter is top notch. You get immediate feedback if you don't hit it in the middle of the club, it rolls very true. Even toe'd or heel'd hits roll true, just a little off line. The grip is great. It's leather and has that steering wheel feel. Some people don't like the aiming mechanism on the club. It features on small circle in the center of the putter, but I feel this is plenty sufficient to line up putts. It keeps the putter looking sleek. Performance-wise, you can't expect a better putter. The weight keeps the putter down through impact, and everything rolls true.

However their is a down side to the black finish.

After 1 practice session. Literally one session. The putter began to rust. The sole of the putter began to get orange rust spots all over it. This happened to the face where the ball contacted as well as the hosel. Supposedly, this is the result of the pesticides in the grass. I purchased the club without the silicon cloth that normally comes with it, and apparently if you wipe it down at the end of every round..and preferably each hole...this rust doesnt show up. But after a couple practice sessions and 1 round...the rust is pronounced. On the other hand, in some eyes the rust looks nice. It gives the putter this old time look that may actually be viewed as attractive. I believe that even on the Scotty Cameron website, they mention that the club "ages". However, if you want to keep the pristine out of the box look...it requires a lot of maintenence. I'd also like to mention that the rust doesnt effect the performance at all...it simply changes the finish on it.

I'd overall give the club a 9.5/10 simply because the performance can't be matched. Unfortunately, the club does age...and if it were easier to keep it looking new for longer....i'd give it a 10. If you can handle the club rusting...then i'd definitely recommend it. But if you are turned off by your $300 dollar putter beginning to rust..i'd recommend looking into a different finish or the Newport lines that SC offers.

Putter that does not dissapoint

Created: 27/10/09
I have been golfing for almost 20 years and I have always admired from a far Scotty Cameron Putters. I have for the last year or so been trying them every now then at different golf and proshops but did not take the plunge until a week ago. Even though it is the end of the season in NE I have been able to already use the putter for a round and all I can say is this is the GREATEST PUTTER I have ever used. The Balance, Feel, and Looks are all absolutely fabulous. I ended up getting a Circa 62 Model 2 putter that was older and had the Gun Blue finish and it is beautiful and I would recommend this putter to anyone who really appreciates a great golf club.

Again now that I have one I will always have a Scotty Cameron putter in my bag.

I will also say the entire experience on EBay like always was great.

Circa '62 No. 2 ~ by Scotty

Created: 22/07/08
The overall feel of any Scotty Cameron is unmatched in golf… I have two other putters + this one (bought for my Brother, but I had to used it) and while the idea of improved ball alignment is all the rage the fact is that putting is more about feel and confidence then it is about alignment.

On the Green the intrinsic feel of this unique putter shines as the stoke and roll are clearly defined putt after putt ~ The Circa 62’ as well as all other Cameron putters ability to merge balance & feel are unquestionable in the game of golf.

Regards,
Drago..

Best putter I have ever used.

Created: 25/10/10
For a number of years I have used mallet type putters but, I could never get the feel of a smooth stroke through the ball. The Titleist Cameron Circa '62 gives me that smooth feeling, from any distance, that I have been looking for. I like the feeling of a heavier clubhead and I like everything else about this putter.

Circa 62 #5 Putter

Created: 30/10/07
This classic, now rare (Cameron only made this putter in 2006, and inexplicably replaced it with a different model in 2007) putter is the best tool in my bag. I have used a Cameron studio stainless (terrilium insert) in the past, and this putter is heavier and more accurate. I also like the leather "steering wheel" grip that is useful and unique. This putter is easy to line up, and is very much a superior putter on long lag putts of 20 feet or more, due to its "mallet" style. I also like the site dot on the top that encourages a "pendullum stroke" so necessary in accurate putting. Why, I wonder, did Cameron cancel this unique, indispensible design? Oh, well, their loss is my gain! In 5 years my putter will be worth major bucks. (The #5 also has a very distinctive, colorful headcover with divot tool) If you can find one...buy it!!
