The Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Tour Chrome 2009 Wedge Golf Club gives you 30% larger groove volume than conventional wedges. Bob Vokey’s Titleist Vokey Spin Milled Tour Chrome 2009 Wedge Golf Clubs have leading edges that are squarer in the lower lofts and curved in the higher lofts. This reduces “thins” and mis-hits, considerably improving your game. Also included are nine lofts ranging from 48 to 64 with multiple bounce options that allow a steeper draft angle. This creates better friction, giving you maximum amount of spin on those delicate shots.

I purchased this club several weeks ago to take advantage of the seller's listing for a Vokey Spin Milled 52-deg wedge in very good shape. The club was really a black nickel finish, not tour chrome, as advertised which was more desirable for me. Bob Vokey's wedges are legendary among golfers and this club performs very well around the greens as well as from the fairway. I can spin the ball at will and now have to calculate how much past the pin I want to land it to get it close, a nice plus for a 10-handicap player. Also, this model has the deeper grooves available before the 2010 new groove rule so it provides maximum spin from all lies.

The spin milled grooves in this wedge provide tour like spin on the golf ball. Stop it on a dime or back it up to the hole, this club can do it. It takes a bit of practice to learn the correct angle of contact for the club to work to it's full potential, but it is more than worth the effort. I purchased the 56* sand wedge two years ago and loved it so much that I had to get the 52* attack wedge to go with it. Now I have the confidence to attack the hole from nearly any position knowing that I can drop and stop it on the spot. The club feels very comfortable at address, has a very solid feel on contact, and will consistantly give me all the spin I need to aim dead at the hole.

I am a 54 year old 7 handicap. I recently purchased the 48-52-56 and 60 degree vokey wedges. I have only gotten to play about 36 holes with the clubs, but love the way they feel and respond. I need to dial in the distances, but the direction and spin are exactly what I had expected. My irons are Taylor Made, and I am down to only using the 5 through the 9. I use to carry the 2 through SW. I love the solid feel of the forged club. I also bid and won a Vokey 48* bent to a 45. The Vokeys are very similar to my Taylor Made in face size, weight, and look at address. I think that they carry a little farther, and the spin is fantastic. I would like to say that i now can't wait until my next round of golf, but I've been that way since I was 3. I am glad that I got the chrome. Thought about Oil Can finish or nickle, but after playing some very wet rounds I think I made the right choice. Clubs are in my trunk from March through November, so Oil Can would have been a mistake.

I thought I was playing the best wedges made , now I know I am !

The extra spin I get with the spin milled grooves and face really helps in the scoring zone.

The greens I usually play on have lots of undulations , so I have lots of pitches and chips to downhill targets. I rarely could stop the ball from running by the hole several feet.

The very first time I used the wedge , it actually stopped a few inches short and my playing partner wanted to know what I did to get so much back spin?

I showed him the Vokey , and he immediately rehit his shot that had gone by the hole several feet and also stopped the ball short , by two feet !

He is replacing all his wedges also. Yes , with Vkey's , what else ?

The wedge does exactly what you need it to do. When you want to spin the ball, a player is capable of putting tremendous spin on the ball with this spin-milled wedge. Bob Vokey does it right!
