TOMB RAIDER ANNIVERSARY ON WII!!
Created: 10/03/08
Fantastic title for your Nintendo Wii!
The controls really make this Tomb Raider title one to own! You will be using your Wii nun-chuck to throw Lara's grappling hook as you dive off of dangerous cliffs and ledges. Draw your guns and aim your Wii remote to take down your most feirce enemies. Tomb Raider Anniversary is a great re-image of the first Tomb Raider game that came out in 1997. For the old school gamers it will take you back into a familiar world with lots new visuals and new features such as the archaeologists tool kit. With these tools you will unlock some additional puzzles that gives this title a whole new feel.
Grab Tomb Raider Anniversary for the Wii and prepare for a classic adventure in a whole new world!

This game is ATROCIOUS

What I liked: Graphics (for being a Wii game)
What I didn't like: Quests are IMPOSSIBLY hard! Even using a strategy guide still made this game harder than a dried dog turd. Half the time I had to use youtube to see exactly what to do, and even that worked about half the time.
The controls were absolutely horrible. Numerous times in an attempt to pause the game I used up my medi-packs. They don't respond very well either.
The game's programming is so bad that even if you exhausted all possibilities when trying to perform a task, you will find yourself just walking along the walls pressing ^ on the D-Pad a million times just to find the exact location that will let you execute the task. You have to be in the EXACT location, to the EXACT PIXEL.
The unlockables while not needed to progress through the game, are ungodly hard. They require you to perform certain tasks within a set amount of time; however, you need to run back and forth between the level just to get the items or perform the tasks with a very small allotted time frame.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Anniversary (Wii)

If you enjoyed playing the original Tomb Raider games on Playstation, you will flip out over this game. The graphics are much better, of course, and the controls are vastly improved. The Wii version adds even more to the experience with new motion controls. This is a must have for Wii owners who love the Tomb Raider series.

overall fun, but with a few issues

I bought this and Resident Evil 4 for Wii at the same time-- and Resident Evil was so much more thoroughly programmed and perfected. The Tomb Raider is fun- but they need to fix some stuff with the camera angle (when Lara is up against a wall or in a corner, why are we staring right into the wall?)-- this is especially miserable when some monster is chomping on you and the camera is making you look at the wall. Also, they need to allow for slow rotation of Lara-- why should I spend 60 seconds jerking right then left every time I need to jump, just to get the right angle. And finally, they should learn a lesson from Resident Evil and have more frequent checkpoints / continuation points. But apart from these gripes, the game is fun overall.

Almost a decent port of a popular game

Lara croft tomb raider is a platformer in the similar vien to prince of persia sands of times. Of course Lara came first, but this particular game plays similar to sands of time and that may or may not be a good thing. The Wii controls works for the most part. Climbing and jumping feels right. The grapple hook which is tied to the nunchuck takes time to get use to. The developers added specific wii areas that add to the game such as digging up artifacts. However, the big problem with the game is the gun mechanic, it just doesn't feel right. Shooting feels clunky and it's hard to execute. Other than this part of the game, tomb raider is a nice fun romp and if you have time check it out, it might surprise you.
