Toshiba CANVIO 3.0 1 TB,External,5400 RPM (E05A100PBU3XW) Hard Drive

Pros: Very nice drive. USB 3.0 interface makes it future-proof, hopefully for quite a while. Rubber padding around the edges hopefully means it will survive for quite a while as well. I know I will not be filling the drive for a very long time. Design on the case makes it rather unique.
Cons: USB 3.0 jack on the drive itself is different then on any other devices I have, therefore if its lost I will have to buy another to replace it instead of using the cables I have. Not a big deal, but it could be inconvenient.
Having 1TB of data storage in a portable form means transferring data from one pc to another will be easy regardless of how much there is. Though I can't comment on it's USB 3.0 speeds I will say it is still just as fast as any USB 2.0 drives i have used and knowing that it can run USB 3.0 only makes it that much better.

I have macbook pro and i initially thought this item will not work, but after i bought it, i reformate it. since then it is working perfectly. It has fast data transferring rate. Pretty cheap comparing to the storage capacity. No complains.

When my Toshiba CANVIO arrived I opened the box and was immediately impressed at how thick the patch cord is. It’s not a little piece of spaghetti like some portable drives are equipped with. I plugged it into my laptop and in less than a minute I was prompted as to what I wanted to do. I backed up a huge amount of pictures to it in under 10 minutes. I then plugged my ole portable hard drive into another port in my laptop and backed up a large amount of music files from it to the Toshiba in just a few minutes. I’ve done several backups since then and have played music and viewed pictures directly from it through my laptop and it has worked flawlessly. This is great little hard drive and a great price.

Excellent Product. Hard drive is really good and arrived on time. This one had USB 3.0 which is fater then the traditional USB port which makes it more faster and efficient. Thumbs UP!!

These are great compact hard drives! I have several of them now, and haven't had a problem with any of them. Even when I "hot plug" them, I have never experienced a bad event. Storage is fantastic for its size, and they are the only external drives that I use now, for day-to-day activities. They are great to use, when you have to move programs or data from one computer to another, and they are small enough to fit in your pocket. No external power source is needed, which makes them even more attractive. I would not hesitate to purchase more of them in the future.
