Everything I was hoping for.

We needed a new combo unit for our living room and was looking for something that fit into our budget and had a TV tuner built in. The reception on our TV is great and both the VCR and DVD work great. Well worth the price we paid. Controls are easy to use, unit has auto time set and is small in size but big on performance. Love it and would definitely buy the exact same unit again.

On VHS playback some manual tracking adjustment was needed however might be due to old VHS tapes all of mine are 5 years plus. DVD playback is great. Easy controls and easy to setup. A good buy after free shipping.

Toshiba SD-V394 DVD/VCR Player

I purchsed this DVD/VCR player because I own another one just like it, and I wanted one for my bedroom but they aren't making this model any longer. I was looking specifically for a unit that I could plug my co-ax satellite receiver into. So far, it works great and is really easy to use and set up.

Toshiba SD-V394 DVD Player / VCR Combo

Purchased the unit December 2,2008 and the VCR portion was unusable. Anything that was taped could not be watched as the picture jumped all over the tv screen. The unit was sent for warranty repair on December 22, 2008 and a replacement unit was received by me on January 13, 2009. This unit functions properly. As with other Toshiba products I have owed, I assume this will work well for me long into the future. The unit is user friendly although a little more complicated than the Sony VCR only unit it is replacing.
