A Nice Cd

Touch’s tough beats, mostly by Rich Harrison.Amerie rips through them with emotion. The soul samples, horns, and hard club drums on the lead single, “1 Thing,” are an excellent preview of Touch’s ability, though the crazy Lil Jon crunk-and-B title track is the album’s most stand out song. But nothing here is more on-point than the artistic energy of Harrison and his protégée. Their smooth blend of the delicate and the cool proves that, whether it’s hard or soft, love is love.

Amerie shows growth both lyrically and vocally. The production is crazy on some songs, #6 in particular. A couple nice love ballads and a few bland songs overall makes this a good cd. If you liked her first cd in some ways you'll like this one just as much if not more!

i've liked amerie since i first heard Why Don't We Fall in Love? a few years ago. she seemed to dissapear, and then re-appear with two great singles from this album.
On the first listen, i thought it was a little average, but having ripped a few songs for my iPod, i got to listen to them a few more times and appreciated the lyrical content a bit more.
I've given the CD a few listens now and it's very well performed.
If you like Mariah Carey, Whitney Hoston and other similar artists, you'll enjoy this album, but maybe not as much as you would the bigger names.
I do recommend this album, but you need to give it chance!

You have to be an Amerie fan to love this CD. I actually forgot about some of the songs on this CD. I love her voice. It's a little raspy... strong, and shoesn't sound forced. It's nice to have another songstress (Mary) that doesn't need the falsetto to have a good song.
