) I have many of Debbie Bliss patterns and books...she is a trusted knitter and designer. Her children's knitting books are among my favorites. She also is not over complex in her designs...somewhat a Martha Stewart of knitting...by that I mean her patterns are classics and can be used for years to come and not so detailed as to scare off new knitters.
My other reason for buying the book is that I have a big interest in knitting toys and toy designing.
Debbie Bliss is a good designer to start out with when your first learning to knit...simplistic classic designs and trusted by many including UK's Simply Knitting magazine. A :)
