Toy Soldiers Identification and Price Guide by Bertel Bruun (1994, Paperback)

I bought a copy of the late Dr. Bruun's guide about 10 years ago. The copy I have (Confident Collector Press) is printed on cheap newsprint-like paper with only b&w photos, so it is definately something intended to be carried around in your hip pocket, rather than set out on a coffeetable beside the fireplace. But it's not bad for folks just starting out collecting. Lots of information, but of a general rather than specific sort, as well as a fairly reliable priceguide. Hey, if it saves you from paying 20.00 for a 2nd grade Britains mounted figure, it has done it's job. Seasoned collectors will probably prefer more detail-specific texts, like the old Britains catalogs. But for it's modest price (12.50) Dr. Brunn's guide will definately make you feel like you have your feet on the ground...and its probably better than the comparable all-in-one flea market browser guides as far as information goes.
