A "must" see performance!
Created: 02/02/07
I'm not sure which rock we've been hiding under, but the week after Thanksgiving 2006, we were ice skating in The Woodlands, TX and saw for the first time The Ghost of Christmas Eve. We asked a rink guard "who was playing on the big screen?" That was our first introduction to TSO. The next morning I bought tickets to see them live in Houston. They have instantaniously become part of our holiday season. We won't ever miss them again. This DVD is fantastic. Beautiful music along with a moving story that makes you feel sad and happy all at the same time. The artists performances are incredible. If you like the holiday season, rock n roll, chillbumps, tears, and fairytales - you will love this spellbinding performance.

The perfect present

This rock/classical (defies description) tale is told with amazing talent, and the concerts get better every year. Check the TSO website for more music - I can promise that if you enjoy rock, and you are not just looking for a common rehashing of the same-old same-old, there will be something within Trans Siberian Orchestra that touches you.
They break in to two parts, TSo East, and TSO West, for the holiday season ... the albums are the best of both, save for the loss of Songmaster Daryl Pediford.

PS The only reason I am not buying this one is that I am already stocked up!

Great for Christmas

The story that Trans-Siberian Orchestra wrote for this DVD is a simple story about a runaway girl trying to get home. She breaks into an old theater and is treated to a show that reveals what Christmas is all about. This is a great video for any lover of music and Christmas.

Ghost of Christmas Eve (2001, DVD)
Created: 08/02/07
The scripted story with poetic cadance appeared to be choppy and hard to follow, although one thought to know where it was going. The product seemed to be thrown together after the success of Christmas Eve and Other Stories (CD), the debut album of the Trans Siberia Orchestra. Even if one had to read the story that was told on the included pamphlet of that CD while following the music, that was a work of art. So I expected much the same out of the Ghost of Christmas, but was disappointed.
I think that TSO owes it to its concert hall audience a DVD rendering of Christmas Eve and Other Stories with the acting out of the script it included in the original CD.
Ghost of Christmas was a dissapointing followup. The average grade is for the good performance of the group but the overall story was poor.

Christmas Canon
Created: 24/08/09
In this video, you see "Christmas Canon" played by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra and the children in all its full glory, not fuzzy blurry images seen on YouTube! Sound quality is supurb! This is a MUST-get for all Christmas Music Lovers!!!
