Great 2 player experience
Created: 05/02/08
This game is good for 2 players.
If you don't know what trauma center is, you basically perform operations which are mainly fictitious but they do make you feel like a real surgeon. The game is appropriate for children, because although there is blood and guts, it is all very cartoony and not gross to look at.
The game itself is pretty long, with something like 40 operations with 3 difficulty levels, and a few challenges also. The single player is very difficult and will be hard for some even on easy. The co-op is great, its completely incorporated into the main game, so two players can perform any operation. The tasks become a lot easier and its much more fun being able to work together to cure people.
The storyline is interesting at points, but can drag on. However there is pretty good presentation, as the story has voice actors convincingly doing dialogue, it reminds me of medical dramas.
Overall I gave this a 4/5 rating, because its enjoyable and gives you a good challenge. However its lacking because there are little improvements made over the Nintendo DS version (this is the 3rd game in the series). The 2 player mode definitely makes the game good though.

Amazing fun as long as your up to the challenge.

This game is amazing. I played the first version (Trauma Center: Second Opinion) at my friend's house and fell in love with the series. While I was waiting for Second Opinion to lower it's price, the series released another title (which would be this game, Trauma Center: New Blood).
Playing alone is a challenge, but luckily they added a Co-Op option so you can have a friend join you and help you operate on the patients with you which helps ease the load and pressure of the operations. The game is challenging, but I would definitely recommend it for someone who is up to a challenge, or is interested in the medical field.
You need to have good steadiness in your hands to be able to complete the operations and be quick on your feet. If you're not, this game sure teaches you how to, especially when the only way you can move on is if you train yourself to be more steady in order to complete an operation.
The game's got great replay value especially because you can keep retrying the same operations and raise your high score. There's even an option to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Network so that you can load your scores for each operation to their servers and compare yourself to other Trauma Center: New Blood players around the US.
Remember: this game is tough, and you may feel defeated at times, but don't give up! Keep playing and you'll get the hang of it eventually. Each new operation is a new adventure! The soundtrack is exceptional and the story line is captivating. I would definitely recommend this game to anyone that owns a Wii. It's a great game to add to your collection.

my teen daughter is hoping to be a dr and this is the 3rd disc in the series of the TRAUMA set. WE LOVE THEM. this is the best of the 3, highly recomend for the aspiring dr, so true to life, the situations, the drama and intsense opperations and procedures and it's amazing. I love this and am so impresssed with how realastic computer games can be. this is our 1st experience with a simulation game when we bought these TRAUMA games. I highly recomend ONLY if you are truley are intersted in medical fields, this is not a "toy" so to speak, but very cool for those who hope or are intersted in medicine.

One of the best Wii games!

It is very similar to Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Trauma Center controls on the Wii is much easier and precise than the Nintendo DS version. I love how another player can jump in with you in case things are too hard for yourself. The guest appearance of Derek Stiles and Angie Thompson makes the game more exiting to play. They may only appear in one episode and a bonus mission, but their appearance makes the game fun to watch. Treating Stigma is just another variation of GUILT and another reason to treat patients. You will definitely have fun playing this game for a few months.
There are a few things I don't like about the game. The fact that it has completely new characters is kind of boring. Most Trauma Center fans want to have Derek and Angie as the main characters only. Also, when you are playing with another player, the magnification tool can lock when player two is using another tool on the patient. This makes player one unable to move around and treat any problems outside the screen until the player two has finished using a tool. This gives Stigma a chance to take away all vitals before a treatment can be made out of the view. The game makers should of made two player mode one big close up of the whole organ you are working on. This way you won't have to use the magnification tool to move the camera around.
If you are a Trauma Center fan, I highly suggest you buy this game. If you are new to Trauma Center, you should first play Trauma Center: Under the Knife or Trauma Center: Second Opinion.

Fun for you and a friend!

Trauma Center: New Blood for the Wii is perhaps one of the best games that has been released for the system. You play as one of two doctors (Markus or Valerie) performing (strange) surgical operations in an Alaskan hospital. I have not completed the game yet, but so far it is great fun. Sometimes it is vague with the instructions, but luckily the operations can be performed multiple times until you are successful. The greatest part of the game is playing with a friend. By using teamwork (or just one person yelling at the other) operations can be performed very quickly. You may upload your high scores to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection to see how good (or bad) of a doctor you really are. With 3 difficulties to master and many missions, this game is sure to please for a very long time.
