Album Notes
Shortly after the release of the Traveling Wilburys' first album, Roy Orbison died suddenly of a heart attack. The remaining Wilburys, choosing not to discover a previously missing "sixth" brother, released 1990's VOLUME THREE as a quartet. (There was no second volume; the band members joked that it had already been deleted.) A brief and easy-going album with a markedly low-key sound, VOLUME THREE is largely dominated by Bob Dylan and Tom Petty, who had played more supporting roles on the first album. Highlights include the rocking opener, "She's My Baby," and George Harrison's social comment, "The Devil's Been Busy."

Editorial Reviews
The superstar pop group stays close to 50's and 60's rock roots, drawing on blues, doo-wop, rockabilly and Buddy Holly. But their second album is faster, jokier, lighter and meaner than the first.

Traveling Wiburys Vol. 3

Created: 12/07/10
The "Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3" is a nice little cd by a group of well-established musicians who contribute to the musical selections with their own brand of song-writing and guitar licks, accompanied by talented supporting musicians using an understated but complementary style. I, personally, think that music along with lyrics can impact people's lives positively, and the messages put forth in this compendium can provoke thoughtful contemplation on many things. This cd is easy to listen to and well worth investing in.

The Traveling Wilburys Collection

I bought this cd because I love the music, and wanted the recording of Roy Orbison doing The Trembler and Heartbreak Radio. After hearing it, I highly recommend it to any Wilbury , Orbison, or Harrison fan. Some very great music from the best in the business...then or now.
You WON'T be disappointed!!!!!!

Volume 3 - Traveling Wilburys (CD)

Not as good as Volume one, but if you're a Wilburys fan, and don't have the complete three-disk set, it's still got a few cool songs.
