trim kids book

Created: 03/01/07
This book is a very good book to help kids and even the entire family learn how to eat better and healthier. I feel that this book is easy to follow and understand, even if you dont use the week by week guideline but use just the information given, in general it can help your child loose the weight. I didn't follow it week by week because my child was only 15 pounds overweight and we didn't feel the need for the structure the book set up. My son has now lost 7 pounds in 3 months just by changing a few things we learned in the book and increasing his outside play time. It also has pages for the kids to feel out thus enabling them to feel a part of the decision making not just being told what to do and when. Plus it sets goals at different levels for kids with more severe weight problems, to those like my son who weren't as overweight and to those who just want to maintain the healthy weight they had achieved. The only drawback to the book was that most of the recipes I didn't feel that my 3 kids would eat. By far they are NOT picky eaters and will try a lot of differnt things but I didn't feel the recipes were geared toward a kids pallet but a adults. Overall though this book contains a lot of sound advice and motivation that is easy for kids to do and follow thus allowing them to obtain their goals.

good for family use....

I bought this book thinking that if would help me out in training clients. Although it is a good book, if is made more for a mother or father who has a overweight child and not for a personal trainer who is training a client. It has a lot of good ideas for the family to do together. I do use this book sometimes when dealing with children, but not a whole lot. But overall good book.
