Why did I buy this product? I'm a big fan of the show, I used to own the DVD set but watching the Blu Ray version is so much better and they have outtakes, background information, and feedback from the actors while your watching the Episode.
What did I dislike? I think the packaging is great. The only thing is the type of material it has easily catches finger prints.

if you have seen true blood s.1 then this season is going to be a disappointment for you in some sense in storytelling other than that bluray special features not worthy but the picture quality is again excellent and it picks up right where the first season left off

Awesome! Great Set. This is truly a great show and I really enjoy it. If you order this season, do it on Blu Ray. Well worth the extra few dollars compared to DVD.

True Blood: The Complete Second Season (Blu-ray Disc)

If you love vampires, & you like them with violence, sex, & gore you'll love this set. True Blood is definitly not your Twilight type of vampire series I would suggest you see season 1 fist, but season 2 is even better.

Not as good as season one

While this is still an excellent adaptation of Harris' novels this season lacked in comparison to season one. It seemed Ball wrote himself into a corner with Maryanne that he just couldn't escape from. I would have love to see the development more of the vamps and Godric than the Maryann plot which went on and on with no clear ending until Ball just finally killed the characters introduced with that storyline.
It seems Ball forgot why the fans love True Blood. He missed the boat with so little devoted to Godric and Allan Hyde's amazing performance as the character. Instead we got endless scenes from soap actress Ashley Jones whose accent and performance was flat and uninspiring.
As a fan of the books I don't mind the diversions from Harris' cannon however Ball's diversions were not just from Harris but the heart of why fans love True Blood.
