    Product Information
Experience the hard-boiled life of a Los Angeles city cop, and choose to either uphold the law or take it into your own hands. True Crime: Streets of LA puts players in the role of LA cop Nick Kang on missions to take down major crime syndicates.

True Crime recreates a 420 mile area of bustling Los Angeles California cityscape, where players will be able to freely roam, or take on missions that span from trendy Santa Monica to the gritty streets of Hollywood. City activity is similar to Rockstar's popular Grand Theft Auto series, allowing for "police acquisition" of civilian vehicles. True Crime also features deep "bullet-time" shootouts, and martial arts battles.

Like Grand Theft Auto? not quite.........

    Created: 25/10/09
When I purchased this game I was expecting it to compete with Grand Theft Auto Vice City, but sadly, it didn't, not even close. It's got a good story line, a wide variety of weapons and a huge map, but that's all it has going for it. The graphics are a bit below par, there are a HUGE number of glitches and it just feels like they rushed the game when they made it. So buy or rent? I bought it, and surprisingly I don't regret it, probably because I got it very cheap. Don't get me wrong, it's pretty fun, but the glitches out weight the good parts of this game. 3/5, not the best, but alright none-the-less.

I didn't enjoy this title as much as I was expecting to.
There was a lot of hype leading up to game before its release and it just didn't provide the enjoyable gameplay that it should have. If it would've come out before the other big crime games of the time, it would've have made a bigger impact.
You can tell they are trying to make a Grand Theft Auto look alike but they take it to the step with this new bullet-time/Matrix feature.
It's actually a nice touch and probably the highlight of the game, unless you're a Snoop Doggy Dogg fan and decide to spend the hours unlocking his delightful character!
I found the controls a little harder to use compared to the GTA series.
The gunplay while driving is a nice aspect to the game, but again the controls take getting used to.

cool game, feel much better than grand theft auto

    Created: 28/11/08
in grand theft auto i was always getting attacked by large numbers of police, which felt gay. now im playing as a cop. and still kicking as much ass as i want. better guns too!! in grand theft auto, they made so many weapons, but most of them were too hard to get!!!
