    Movie synopsis

When inexperienced call girl Alabama Whitman (Patricia Arquette) is paid to seduce comic-book-nerd and Elvis fanatic Clarence Worley (Christian Slater), she doesn't expect to fall for him. But these two lost souls seem to be made for each other and quickly pledge their love, marrying at Detroit's city hall. Clarence discovers some newfound bravado and attempts to retrieve Alabama's possessions from her pimp, Drexl (Gary Oldman), who isn't exactly eager to let Alabama go. Fleeing Drexl's apartment, Clarence not only leaves a trail of bodies, but also inadvertently mistakes a suitcase of uncut cocaine for one with his wife's clothing, and the chase is on. The unlikely newlyweds head for Los Angeles hoping to sell the cocaine and make enough money to leave the country. Unfortunately, they also have to contend with the mob, yuppie drug dealers and the police. Michael Rapaport is amusing as Clarence's best friend who lives with Floyd, a stoner played by Brad Pitt. A sedate Dennis Hopper appears as Clarence's father, who ultimately faces off with mob boss Vincenzo Coccotti (Christopher Walken). Director Tony Scott (CRIMSON TIDE, ENEMY OF THE STATE) does justice to the violence and quirkiness of Quentin Tarantino's second feature film script.

Violent Romantic Drama - Great Cast

    Created: 27/02/08
Violent Romantic Drama. It has a terrific cast. A pair of young lovers cook up a plan to waste the woman's pimp, steal his coke, sell it for big Benjamins, and then retire south of the border in this offbeat Quentin Tarantino-scripted shoot-em-up. But their scheme derails and the two lovebirds find themselves running from some very bad men looking to even the score.

ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES EVER. A great cast great story

    Created: 24/09/09
This movie has it all ; intrigue, suspense, drama, gunplay, quality violence and the first appearances i know of Brad Pitt and James Gandolfini. Slater and Arquette create an exciting magnetism thats both hot and believable. Christian Slater,Patricia Arquette, Christopher Walken, Chris Penn, Dennis Hopper, Brad pitt, James Gandolfini, Val Kilmer, Bronson Pinchot, Michael Rappaport, Gary Oldman, Tom Sizemore and Samuel L. Jackson in Quentin Tarantinos' breakthrough screenplay. This all-star cast make Tarantinos' first major motion picture a must see for all. (adults or real mature kids preferred,if youre to squeamish for this one- get a life!)

    Excellent ensemble of legendary actors!

    Created: 19/02/09
Who can hate it? Although a sometimes corny romance action film, many of the then and future stars of film would take roles (big and small) in this film. Some of my favorite mono/dialogues come from this film, which I cannot mention without giving away the twists. Look for Brad Pitt, James Gandolfini, Michael Rappaport, Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper and many more in this endearing film. Starring main cast Chirstian Slater and Rosanna Arquette as the romantics. On a side note, great score.

    True Romance

    Created: 10/07/10
WOW. This film has it all............brutal violence, a dumb blonde, a super cast of actors and non stop thrills. It was a little too violent for me, but all in all, very well done. Laughs mixed up with true love, and even though they were too stupid to see what they were getting into........Brad Pitt sort of blends it all together as a stoner and well, hold on for the ride!
