I couldn't wait for this season! I used closed caption because I couldn't understand what they were saying, otherwise I don't think I would have watched it. I wouldn't let kids watch it--there's nudity, violence & language. I've heard it compared to The Soprano& except for the timeline, it is! I liked it well enough to add to my DVD library so I guess I'd say I think it's worth buying! I'm really glad I have PVR so I could watch it straight through. I know I wouldn't have wanted to wait a week for the next episode. I was sad to see it end &; it piqued my curiosity enough to look up some of England's history.

Excellent Third Season of The Tudors
Created: 09/09/10
If the Tudor era is of interest, than the life and times(and loves) of Henry VIII is your 'cup of tea'...The costumes are spectacular; The portrayal of Henry, Anne, Cromwell and Sir Thomas More are top notch...In fact, with few exceptions, this is a 'royal treat'....Rhys-Meyers is not the prototypical Henry; He is slim, dark haired and not what one would picture as the fair haired, imposing figure of Henry..But, once past this disparity, it is all good...I love this period, the ribald, raucous goings on, and this series is a masterpiece for SHO...Season 3, while extremely bloody and violent, is nonetheless a good portrayal of a country and monarchy undergoing the Reformation and the absolute need of it's king for male issue....

The Tudors Third Season

It is outstanding movie. The color cinematography (sp), characters, setting, acting are all superb!! It is suitable for adults as there certain content that children or adolescent as to torture scenes and sexual content. However, adults would enjoy this movie because it has a fictional and historical delivery. It has wonderful costume, acting, setting that depicts an era that is surreal. The timing in this movie keeps the viewer always interested and never bored. Just a great movie to see for adults. I'd recommend this movie as wonderful entertainment. Note: I would recommend seeing the other season of this series. Only thing about last season is that I didn't want it to end. Kept me looking for more.

Tudors love the whole story. Jonathan Rhys-Meyer is outstanding as Henry the Eighth. The scenery is magnificent and the acting is superb.

The Tudors the complete third season
Created: 06/03/10
I love this series from Showtime, but this third season was short and you could tell the writer's strike was occuring during this time because of how short the series is. I think the producers and Showtime wanted to split King Henry's life up based on wives, but it would have been better if this season depicted more detail with the interactions of the common people - more about the outcomes and decisions made by the King towards his people. I like the fact that there is less sexual interaction depicted in the seasons as they move forward. The costumes are still great and the cast is also well chosen. The only disappointment with season three is the fact that a completely different actress was put in the role of Jane Seymour - the first actress reflected Jane's innocent beauty much better than the second actress.
