Product Information
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty delivers an explosive FPS experience in a world where famous locations and landmarks appear startlingly different under Nazi occupation, and will pose a new, very personal battle for players on their home turf. As Dan Carson - a reluctant New York City construction worker turned freedom fighter - gamers must survive the initial invasion before regrouping with other U.S. resistance members to take the fight back to the Nazis. Always outmanned and outgunned, players have to use a handful of guerilla tactics as they attempt to stop the world's now notorious war machine.

Turning Point: Fall of Liberty

Created: 23/01/10
Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is inconsistent if I had to use one word. At first, it doesn't seem too bad, but there are parts that are terrible, parts that are confusing and parts that make you want to throw the controller at the TV.

In the game, you play Dan, a construction worker who happens to have a mastery of WWII weapons. Go figure. Didn't realize that was part of the construction training, but I guess that's why I'm not in the field. Dan lives in New York which is being invaded by the Nazis after Churchill dies and cannot rally the forces. Within the first minute of the game, I had so many questions. Why are the Nazis invading America? With the amount of money and troops it cost to take over Europe, would they really be able to afford invading America? What about Russia? I hear they were doing pretty good against Germany. Did Churchill inspire them as well?

Well, the game decides not to answer these ever, so I'll ignore them. I don't want to give away any of the story, but let me just say that the plot has so many holes, and they're big enough to fly an oversized war blimp through them. The controls aren't terrible, but they take some getting used to. LB is run. A button jumps and grabs on to poles. It also drops from poles. If you want to climb up onto a ledge, it's A. So what if you want to climb up from a pole onto a ledge? The game lets you figure that out for yourself. (It's B.)

A mild annoyance is the fact that to see your objective, you have to press Start. There is no other way of knowing. It never says anywhere on the screen. In the top right corner, it will say "Objective added," so if you like pausing the game every 3 minutes to see your new objective, this games for you.

The AI is dumb. Really dumb. There is this one part where you are picking off snipers. You can be mostly exposed and they will not shoot you. It's like they are waiting for an invitation to start shooting you. Their spawns are also dumb. I got to this room and cleared it out. I then began to cross a bridge and a couple of enemies decided to appear behind me and I found myself surrounded.

Overall, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty is a short game that in the end makes me happier when I turn it off than when I am actually playing it.

For the $ and the Idea...WHY NOT?

I love and like war style games, exspecially first person shooters! EVEN BETTER its in NY where I am from! It takes all over the US till the very end in Washington DC. I bought this game after a while it came out due to the fact I didn't feel it was worth the $60 when it first came out. So now that it was at a reasonable price I bought it. I am also a achievement "whore" and this one is very easy. Just wish people still played online! Movie does make ya think...WHAT IF we never stepped in? I am a history buff and Germany had superior technology that would have defently decimated Europe if we did not step in. They built a Long Range Bomber which the B-2 Takes after and a STG-44 which the AK-47 takes after. The infamous Tiger Tank with Slope Armor etc etc...

Graphics ARE GOOD ENOUGH!

WORST GAME EVER REALEASED

Created: 21/02/09
This is a pathetic excuse for a video game. I know people over use comparisons to first generation console games when describing various titles and the term is way over used, BUT IT APPLIES TO THIS "GAME".
Stay away from Turning Point, it is a waste of money no matter what price you pay.
The controls are clunky and sometimes don't work at all. The character graphics are first generation quality. Turning Point is an attempted game and is broken on so many levels it is difficult to explain. You must experience this abortion to appreciate the incompetence used to create it, but please let me spare you the misery......... STAY AWAY!

WOW!!! Intense game play, really nice graphics, controls handle nicely, and what i especially liked was the very interesting story of what would possibly could have happened with Germany invading the U.S.A. in WWII.
Great game for any WWII First Person Shooter fan.

Great graphics, nice plot, great game for a one person shooter game, I wish it was a longer game, needs more levels. this game really makes you think about American's Freedom. "Thank you Lord for we beat the Germans in WWII, AMEN!"
