Twenty Wishes by Debbie Macomber

First of all let me say I haven't met a Macomber book yet that I haven't liked....and I should know as I have read over 60 of her books. She is one of the best writers of all time in my opinion! Twenty Wishes is absolutely awesome! I literally could not put the book down. I read the whole thing in about 3 hours. This book really makes you stop and think about life. The whole premise is about a group of widows deciding to take life by the tail and write down some of their wishes, things they would like to do or buy. They started with 20, but I got a feeling these ladies will find many more wishes to add to their list as they fulfill the ones they already put on the list. It really makes we want to start a list of wishes myself. As the ladies in the book said, if you want it you gotta go for it. So why not? I think I will go start my list now......maybe I will start it with warm brownies from the oven. Sounds good to me! Give this book a try, I know you will love it as much as I did......who knows what it may lead to in your life......maybe you will work on your own wishes. Life's short.......make the most of it!! I enjoy reading the Blossom Street series by Debbie Macomber. Twenty Wishes touched by heart. I began to rethink my life a little bit and working on my list of twenty wishes. I really look forward to next years visit with my friends on Blossom Street!

I read this one before reading Summer on Blossom Street. I loved the concept behind the twenty wishes and am starting my own "wish list." I get so involved with the characters, so it's nice to read the books in sequence so I can follow along with what is going on in their lives. I catch up with what is going on with old friends and meet new ones, then it's on to the next book to do the same and meet more new friends. You can never have too many friends!

We are reading this book for our book club and so far everyone loves it. We are meeting tomorrow evening and are all planing to write a list of our own twenty wishes.
Debbie Macomber's books are always a great read and relate to everyone. The characters in her books could be your neighbor, your friend or your family.
This book, Twenty Wishes, is especially good, possibly one of her best.

What a wonderful addition to the Blossom Street series! Another hit for Debbie Macomber. I wanted to curl up and not put it down. The characters in this series are so real! This book deals alot with grief and there are parts that will break your heart and others that will make you laugh. Great read!
