The Twilight Zone - Collection 1 (DVD, 2002, 9-Disc Set)

the episodes speak for themselves when it comes to the twilight zone.excellent concept,writing,and actors graced this show.I breezed through all 35 episodes in this collection! I would enjoy TZ whether it was on DVD,VHS,Blu ray,laser disc or just on TV.
The only problems here are presentation-personally I like chronological order as opposed to the sometimes random groupings on this collection.I say sometimes because an effort appeared to be made to group "like" episodes together.For example,episodes that deal with time travel are together,ones that have a war theme are put together,alien visitors,etc. "the definitive Twilight zone" that came out several years after this format cuts through the muddle and just gives you season by season presentation.I like that a bit better,but it's really small beans.also,the idea to have 10 different cases housed inside a bigger case seems rather silly-again,"the definitive edition" just gives you one convienient case with 6 discs staggered inside when you open it...
but it's all about the shows themselves,and when you give them a spin,you will not care about order or presentaion all that much.great,great shows.thank you mr. serling!

Whats not to like its the Twilight Zone!!! Rod Serling's masterful collection
of the inner mind and soul. If you are like myself and thousands of others. You can never get tired of each and every episode, most of witch ive seen countless times. Unlike the the mindless garbage that is pumped into our brains these days, The brilliance of the Twilight Zone is that each episode taught you something about yourself and others, weather it was about tolerance,intolerance,fear,hat​e,love,respect etc. You came away with thought and irony and retrospect that other wise my have escaped you. And by the way there are only a handfull of shows you can watch in black and white and truly forget its in black and white, am i right? Try getting your kids to watch a show in B/W, good luck! Put the Zone in and they will be glued to the TV. They just dont make them like this anymore. The next time you are watching TV and you feel empty and unsatisfied reach for a box set of the Twilight Zone and im sure you will watch more than one episode and you will be better for it. Just my humble opinion.

I bought this as a gift and am so happy I did. The Twilight Zone series is classic! I had been looking at purchasing this collection for several months and checked out several different websites. EBay had the best value on this collection. I am very pleased, as it will bring hours of entertainment to the person I purchased it for. EBay not only had this collection, but all of the others and in time I want to get them all! Thanks EBay!!

I am a advid fan as I stated earlier of Rod Sterling. I think I have seen every episode, and am trying to get the rest for my collection. The storyline tell as story and has a lesson sometimes to be taught. No one can replace this man, and he will be missed. The remakes do not have the same appealing effects as the original.

I bought this set for my 13 year old son as a Christmas gift, and he loves it!! His Language Arts teacher introduced her classes to "The Twilight Zone" and my son is now a huge fan. The DVD plays great, the stories are as creepy as I remember. It's fun taking a walk down memory lane, I used to watch "The Twilight Zone" late at night on TV (before there was such a thing as cable!!).Great gift idea!
