Publisher's Note
In a riveting new thriller, worldwide bestselling suspense writer Mary Higgins Clark weaves the mystery of twin telepathy into a mother's search for a kidnapped child, presumed dead.

Margaret and Steve Frawley celebrate the third birthday of their twin girls, Kelly and Kathy, with an afternoon party in their new home, a modest fixer-upper in Ridgefield, Connecticut.

The evening of the twins' birthday party, Steve and Margaret attend a black-tie dinner in New York. When they return home, the police are in the house, and they are told that the babysitter had been found unconscious, the children are gone, and a note demanding an eight-million-dollar ransom had been left in their room.

Steve Frawley's firm, a global investment company, agrees to pay the ransom. The kidnapper, who identifies himself as the "Pied Piper," makes his terms known -- on delivery of the ransom, a call will come, revealing the girls' whereabouts. The call comes, but only Kelly is in the car parked behind a deserted restaurant. The driver is dead from a gunshot wound and has left a suicide note, saying he had inadvertently killed Kathy and had dumped her body in the ocean.

At the private memorial Mass for Kathy, Kelly tugs Margaret's arm and says: "Mommy, Kathy is very scared of that lady. She wants to come home right now." More unexplainable occurrences follow, indicating that Kelly is in touch with Kathy. At first, no one except the mother believes that the twins are communicating and that Kathy is still alive. As Kelly's warnings become increasingly specific and alarming, however, FBI agents set out on a search for Kathy. The novel reaches a breathtaking climax as they close in on the Pied Piper and his accomplices, while Kathy's life hangs by a thread.

In delving into the well-documented but still unexplained phenomenon of twin telepathy, Mary Higgins Clark tells a spellbinding tale that takes us deep into the minds of her characters while lifting us to the heights of suspense.

Traumatized by the kidnappings of her twin three-year-old girls, only one of whom was recovered, a mother begins a desperate search when her returned daughter claims that the other twin, believed dead, is still alive and in mortal danger. 1,000,000 first printing. Lit Guild, Doubleday, Mystery Guild, & BOMC Main.

As an avid reader I am always on the lookout for new exciting books. I go by the ratings. If more than one person has rated it as bad or poor then more than likely it is not a good read.
Mary Higgins Clark is a great author. (I think)This is a story about two three year old twin girls (Kathy and Kelly)who are kidnapped while their parents are at dinner. When the parents arrive they find a ransom note. Will they be able to pay the amount that is needed and is it someone in the family doing this?

I won't tell all the details but it is very good.

Another Great Mary Higgins Clark Book

Another great Mary Higgins Clark book. Three year old twin girls are kidnapped. One is returned, the other thought dead. The telepathic communications of what seems to be from the dead twin to her sister fuels the mothers search for the missing twin.
Well written in the Mary Higgins Clark style...an awesome read!

As Expected, MHC writes another thriller!

Created: 03/08/06
As a MHC fan, I have read every book written by the phenomenal writer. When Two Little Girls in Blue was published, I had already purchased several books to read so by the time I got ready to read it..it was available at a lower cost on eBay. What a deal....an excellent book at a discount price!! Mary Higgins Clark has lived up to her reputation with this book. She keeps you guessing the entire book at who the Pied Piper is and you don't know until the very end. This was THE BEACH READ of the summer!! You will fall in love with the twins and hang on to every word wondering if they will ever be returned to the arms of their parents. MHC and eBay my two favorites!!

Mary Higgins Clark keeps you interested the whole way through the book without a dull moment. She makes you want to read all of her books. She inspired her daughter to write books and on ocassion, they write a book together. This book tells about the kidnapping of twin 3 year old girls and their parents struggle to get them returned. The girls communicate without speaking at times. It has a happy ending with justice being brought to those who deserve it. I definitely reccomend you read this book.
