The Ugly Truth (Blu-ray Disc, 2009)

Katherine Heigl (Knocked up and 27 Dresses) is quickly becoming the queen of the modern day romantic comedy.

in this film she teams up with Gerard Butler (300 and P.S. I love you). Heigl is the producer of a morning news program in Sacramento and Butler is the host of "the Ugly Truth" a brash talk show that looks at the state of relationships. Due to falling ratings the AM News Program hires Butler to do his Ugly Truth show on there morning program with Heigl as the producer.

One thing leads to another and you have another romantic comedy that is at times funny, corny and with a lot of bickering between the two.

Perhaps not the most original movie but it does have its moments and it is entertaining.

Anyone who enjoys a good romantic comedy will enjoy this dvd and especially those who are fans of Heigl.

Go ahead and get this one, it is worth the price.

Amazing romantic comedy!! You WILL be laughing and have a wonderful time watching this movie. Gerard and Katie kick ass in this movie!! Def a can't miss movie for those who love romance and those who love laughs!!

it's really not just a chick flick men will be laughing uncontrollably along with their female counterparts.

Gerard Butler is great with his sarcastic raunchy humor that does not make his character into some sappy vision of a woman's dream man.

yes, the humor is raunchy so it may not be the thing for traditionalist grandparents and definitely not for children, but still if not sure rent it first. Don't miss it though as it is one of the funniest movies you will find that is good for couples to watch together.

Good solid movie. Katherine Heigl showed a solid performance and great comedic timing. She shines in this movie that is basic and predictable, but given that, its still an enjoyable film. The dude from 300 also does a good job.
My recommendation is defiantly one you should own.

Hilarious! The love story is quite predictable. Boy meets girl, girl doesn't like boy, boy doesn't like girl. Then, they do. But, still nice to see how it all pans out. Gerard Butler is hilarious in this film. Cute chemistry between the protagonists. Even the men in my family enjoyed it. Highly recommended.
