    Ultimate Doom

    Created: 10/01/11
Ultimate Doom is a spectacular game. It includes the original 27 levels from the first Doom game and adds an additional 9 levels to it.The new levels are insanely hard, but very cool. Doom is the father of first person shooter games, and even by today's standards, it's still one of the best. This version of doom is designed to run on windows 95, so it does not require a dos box. It runs very smoothly, the only consistent problem I've had with it is that the music gets screwed up if I've left my computer running to long without restarting. Also I haven't been able to get the mouse working. However, for a 15 year old game it runs incredibly well. Whats really cool about is that it runs without the CD after it's been installed.

To test out the program before buying, I'd recommend downloading the shareware version off the internet, which includes the first 9 levels, all but 2 of the weapons, and all but 4 of the monsters. Just look up Doom95 shareware. I believe the demo can also be downloaded from id software's website. Game play involves wandering through corridors and buildings in search of keys, weapons, and ammo, annihilating demons and zombies along the way. While the levels have a maze/puzzle like feel to them, the focus is always on killing monsters. It's a simple game, nothing like most modern first person shooter games, but the simplicity of it is part of what makes it so entertaining. This game is definitely worth picking up. Highly recommended!

    Ultimate Doom (PC Games, 1995)

    Created: 15/01/10
Doom (often typeset as DOOM) is a landmark 1993 first-person shooter computer game by id Software. It is widely recognized for having popularized the first person shooter genre, pioneering immersive 3D graphics as well as true third dimension spatiality, networked multiplayer gaming, and support for customized additions and modifications (called "WADs"). Its graphic and interactive violence, as well as its Satanic imagery, also made it the subject of considerable controversy.

The Ultimate Doom (April 30, 1995): Contained an additional episode, "Thy Flesh Consumed", in addition to the original three episodes (with very slight modifications to some levels).

Ultimate DOOM: Like DOOM, but more ultimate

    Created: 09/02/11
If you liked DOOM, and who didn't, then you will like Ultimate DOOM. It is kind of the same, but there is an extra set of levels.
I just bought this game, which is now about fifteen years old, for more than it sold for brand new. The fact that it can still command that kind of price has to be some kind of testimonial to its greatness.
A couple of cautions to those of you who have upgraded your computers:
To run this, you need to find and download a free copy of "chocolate doom" from the internet. Works great.
The other caution is for those who were not alive when this game came out:
Be aware that state of the art graphics from the ancient past are so bad that you might not be able to play this.
Its kind of like the Matrix: to the uninitiated, it looks like a bunch of green lines scrolling down a screen. Once you get into it, though, you can see a whole world.
OK, maybe it's not quite that bad, but it is definitely time to have a redo of the classic DOOM with modern graphics. HEY, ID, you hear me?

A classic and still amazing to this day

    Created: 02/05/10
Often hailed as the best video game ever, Doom has gone on to become one of the most influential, legendary, and controversial games ever created and today it holds up well. The story is that you are a space marine imprisoned on the UAC Phobos base and they begin to experiment with teleportation. However something evils slips through and demons pour in through the gate transforming and killing everyone... except you. Doom starts of with short and easy levels and then they tend to get more difficult and lengthy(especially in the later levels) andyou have five difficulty levels to choose from. The gameplay is pretty simple, shoot demons and zombies and get to the end of the levels. Doom pulled of some pretty impressive graphics and lighting effects at the time and some pretty graphic gore effects. The use of satanic symbolism and imagery made it a controversial game back in 1993, though it may look a little tame by today's standards it gave you a sense of dread back then. The control is pretty tight and it runs smooth and fast. The music is also pretty sweet and it's worth downloading on to your MP3 player. Overall, Doom is a legend and if you haven't played it yet then go get it now and witness it in all its glory.

    Legendray !

    Created: 05/12/08
DooM is an old game (in case you don't know it yet) so do not expect to get beautiful graphisms. But, this game is legendary, it's the father of practicaly all FPS games. It's fun, quite gore, can be scary, and it's definetely a must !

Chainsaw, pistol, gatling gun, shotgun, rocket launcher, and so on, take it all and go kill some demons.
