A Good Beginning For New Readers!

Created: 21/04/07
Just finished reading the book ' The ULTIMATE Guide to the JLA' (Justice League of America) !

The book is written by Scott Beatty, and published by DK Publishing. It was first published in 2002.

The JLA, since its' inception in 1960 as a comic book, has featured almost every major hero or heroine in the DC Comics universe, although the 'core 'team has basically been Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern and the Martian Manhunter.

Since these are DC's strongest heroes, they are typically united together to fight alien menaces or groups of supervillains.

The book is great for those are either JLA fanatics or those that have recently started reading the comic book series. I personally have NOT read all of the JLA comics, as it does go back in continuity to 1960 when I was first becoming a Marvel Zombie!

Just posting today that I have just read it and thought it was a good reference for those just getting into the Justice League series!

I own both the Batman and X-Men versions of this series and this is the least informative of the three. I would call it basic information, but after reading the other books this one was a little slow for me. I did learn from reading it and would suggest picking it up for a good price.
