The Ozzy branding is a multimedia phenomenon, leaving nothing undone - except perhaps, until now, an all-covers album paying tribute to songs near and dear to John "Ozzy" Osbourne's heart.First served up as gravy in the PRINCE OF DARKNESS box set, UNDER COVER is now available as a stand alone release, featuring several additional tracks. Putting the Ozzy stamp on Mountain ("Mississippi Queen") and Cream ("Sunshine Of Your Love") rockers seems logical enough, although some metalheads may be surprised by the lighter fare. Ozzy expresses his admiration for his beloved Beatles with two John Lennon solo cuts, as well as a poignant version of "In My Life." Also left off the earlier release but found on UNDER COVER, are Ozzified takes on Joe Walsh's "Rocky Mountain Way" and the Moody Blues' "Go Now." While shred guitar devotees may find the absence of Zakk Wylde disappointing, supporting the Ozzman are capable metal stalwarts Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains) on guitar, Chris Wyse (The Cult) on bass, and longtime Ozzy drummer Mike Bordin (Faith No More).

Ozzy Still Rules!!!

Created: 12/07/06
I love this CD especially being such a HUGE OZZY FAN,this is a nice add to any Collection. The opener "Rocky Mountain Way" is one that Ozz makes his own with a killer bass line and rockin guitar.Other Standout tracks are "Go Now" , "21st Century Schizoid Man" which completely Kicks ass, "Woman" and "Fire" which should be an Ozzy song.I cant see how this didnt sell well cuz it Really Rocks.I dont think people gave it a chance. If u are in the mood for some Good Old fashioned Rock with an Ozzy twist see "Sunshine Of Your Love" & "Mississippi Queen".The only thing missing on this CD i think is Zakk Wylde but it still Kix some Serious Ass.COP THIS CD!!!

I'm a sucker for cover albums that are made by the best in the business. Ozzy puts his flair on his favorite pieces and does it like he owns them. The man is a total genius. Another great cover album is RUSH's Feedback. These people are just amazing. I guess I'm just a "working class hero".....NOT! I've got the "summer time blues". ENJOY!

The Living Legend Speaks a Different Language!

When I first seen this I knew that is was a MUST HAVE CD! Ozzy's musical talent is historically known throughout the hard rock seen. And it shines on this CD!
Like I said, this is a MUST HAVE CD!
There is nothing like kicking back with a cold beer and listening to Ozzy soothe your day away to begin with. With this CD you can have him do it in a different fashion while singing some of the greatest tracks ever released from your other favorite artists!
I would give this CD a perfect 10!

Ozzy Covers rock

Created: 23/01/08
Ozzys vocal are enhanced. A decent album with an incredible list of songs made famous by other artists, Joe Walsh, Mountain, etc. The guest musicians, back up band and heavy production created a much better sound than Ozzy's instrument.
Glad I didnt buy it new and pay big bucks. So to pick it up second hand, its okay.
