    Surprisingly good...

Ok, I know what you're thinking. That skinny kid from Nickelodeon teams up with that hot Chinese girl from X-men...no thanks. Trust me when I say, I was thinking the same thing. Unfortuantely as a parent, one doesn't always get the luxury of not watching bad movies. I have sat through my share of cruddy movies. Remember Shark Boy and Lava Girl? Yeah...I paid to see it in the theater. Nothing pleases me more than to be pleasantly surprised with a flick that the kids choose. Well, we finally rented The Underclassman the other night. I was dreading having to sit on my couch for 2 hours watching Nick Cannon of all people. I'm not really a huge fan. I cracked up as he played Miami's bad boy in the failed series "South Beach" with Vanessa Williams. I mean, c'mon. The guy weighs about a buck twenty-five, and isn't very funny. All that aside, this was my daughter's choice, and I'm a sucker when it comes to the little ones. I must say, I was pleasantly surprised. This movie is mildly funny, and entertaining throughout. Nick's cracks on his overweight co-worker got a few chuckles from me. Cheech is in it. Having 2 very attractive ladies in Kelly Hu and Roselyn Sanchez doesn't hurt either. The entire film is extremely far fetched in every aspect, but what movie isn't now days. I honestly couldn't reccommend buying this DVD unless you can find it in the $5.50 bin at Wal-Mart, but it's worth a trip to Blockbuster or a spot deep in your NetFlix queue. If your kids are past the "all i want to watch is a cartoon" stage and they haven't graduated from high school, they'll most likely enjoy it as well. My final word...Parents looking for a DVD the kids will love and they can stomach, this should be a consideration. For the simple fact that I've pretty much hated everything Nick Cannon has ever been in, I had to give this one a 3 out of 5.

    Very Good Movie

    Created: 06/10/06
This is a very good movie. I really enjoyed it. It sure had a lot of action in it. I can tell that Nick had to really work hard to make this movie. The part where he was in the water and had to grab ahold of the the plane. Wowww.

It's also an example for those who didn't graduate from high school to go back and finish or get their GED. I'm glad he finally did something to make up for the trouble he got into while being a police on the movie.

I recommend that people watch this movie.

Nick Cannon has done better work. However, the movie was good. Story line was not the best, but you won't fall asleep. One thumb up!!!
