Uniden D1680 Cordless Phone

Bought this unit to upgrade,consolidate, and standardize my home phone system. So far, everything seems to be working great. I was able to remove several long phone cords I'd been tripping over for some time, since everything is transmitted from the base station. Only negative thing I can say is that it takes a second or so for the ringers to activate if you use a personalized ring tone for a particular caller, but usually kicks in by the third ring.

The Uniden brand is very dependable, as I have had several other products from them that lasted many years.

I enjoy this phone system very much. I really like the fact that I have the wireless 2nd handset. That comes in handy because my husband leaves phones hidden around the house after he is done talking on them. I like the convenience of the built-in answering machine because we no longer have to pay At&t $8 per month for answering machine services. I got a great deal for a very reasonable price.

Wonderful product. We now have a base w/digital answering machine plugged into a phone jack with its handset and 5 other wireless handsets scattered around the house. Everything works fine at a very reasonable cost. The 5 remote handsets do not need a phone jack connection which is nice. The batteries provide plenty of talk time. Pretty straight-forward to set-up initially.

I have used this phone for about 3 years,this is my second set of phones, the current set I use on another phone line.
The Uniden D 1680 Cordless Phone,is an outstanding value!
As a home phone it has the basic features one would need.
The clarity is outstanding as well as the range of the phone,also being a able to have a speaker phone is an added
plus.
The replacement battery for the phone is cheap, especially when purchased from an online seller.

I purchased this product,because my other cordless phone was over two years old and it seemed to have noise problems when talking on the phone and answering system would have a lot of noise,making it unable to understand,if a message was left on it.There isn't anything that I really don't like about my new cordless phone system,except for the fact that the redial isn't down at the bottom of the keypad,but you have to go into the menu,to get the redial function ! Without a doubt this is the best phone system that i've ever had and far superior,to my previous cordless phones and best of all,i've got more than one handset,so I can have another handset in another room and don't have to run to get the phone in only the one room !
