Great Way to Understand this Woman of the Bible.

Created: 11/11/08
Unshaken is the story of Ruth and Naomi. Ms. Rivers fictional story of Ruth, Naomi & Boaz really enables us modern day women to understand her life in her culture in Biblical times. This book tells a story of commitment and perseverance, with love and a little romance thrown in.

This is probably my favorite book in the Women in the Lineage of Jesus series.

Story about Ruth from the Bible

Francine Rivers writes in such a way that you feel you truly know the characters she's writing about. In this book you get to know Ruth better as a woman; how she feels, her fears and her faith. The story brings her to life in a way. Ruth had an important role in the Bible. This book, based on Scripture, tells Ruth story in a more personal way. A way that will touch your heart and strengthen your faith. I highly recommend this book and the four others written about the women in the bible written by Francine Rivers.

The Story of Ruth

Created: 05/06/08
Book 3 in Francine River's novella series is another excellent book. This book recounts the information given by God in His inspired Word, about the young girl Ruth. Again we see how God will work in a person's life, no matter where they come from. All that is required from us is that we accept His offer of salvation on His terms. His saving grace is offered to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is not by anything we have done or will done, it is by faith alone. Ruth accepted God on His terms and she was blessed by God.

The 3rd in a series of 5 novellas about women in the lineage of Jesus Christ. The writer does a wonderful job of telling the story of Ruth from a biblically accurate viewpoint. Many of the details of her life are fictionalized but accurately for the time. It gave me a window into what it was probably like to be a woman in that era. Not a good place for women to live. We were really more property than anything to most men. Wonderful
There is a very helpful study guide at the end of the books to do alone or with a group. Loved it! Read them in order.
