Nirvana's "In Utero" Shining Follow-up To "Nevermind"
Created: 07/02/09
The Kings of Grunge Rock follow-up to the mega successful "Nevermind" prove that fame and recognition have not spoiled them. "In Utero" has a grungier flavor than the commerical appeal of "Nevermind". Quite simply, "In Utero" is grunge in it's purest form. The musical genius of Kurt Cobain is spot on with his collaborations of melodies, gitty guitar riffs, and intimate lyrics. Fellow Nirvana cohorts, the multi-talented Dave Grohl, vocal harmonies with Cobain and skilled drumming is brilliant, bassist Krist Novoselic is equally relevant to the rythmic foundation of this dymanic trio that defined the grunge sound. I find the sheer rawiness of "In Utero" to be a fresh shining beacon of Seattle's underground sound that captured the world and changed music forever!

Nirvana - in Utero

Everybody must get stoned... This is Kurt Cobain telling the truth about his personnal "Rolling Stone" life... cuz he was the rolling stone of a generation. I don't like saying it is "Grunge" music, or punk or whatever.... this is TRUE rock & roll music. Kurt Cobain talks about how it is hard to share love in this wicked world. He talks about how he was trying, how he is trying to share his BEAUTIFUL love. Kurt Cobain is screaming his pain, he wants people to feel it, he wants people to feel their own pain too. He talks about how there ain't no love anywhere, but only pain everywhere. He wanted people to be one love, but he was so sweet as a Man, he tought that he just failed his mission. In Utero is Kurt Cobain last album.

Nirvana is obviously one of the greatest and influental grunge bands of all time. After first loving their Nevermind album, I have moved on to In Utero. This album is nearly just as good in my opinion. The songs continue to rock hard and leave you feeling satisfied.

Nirvana's In Utero CD 1993

I bought Nirvana's In Utero on ebay because I'm a fan of Nirvana and have been looking for this CD in stores and was unable to find it. I was excited to get it and happy to listen to all the songs. My favorite is 'Serve The Servants'. Others I really liked were 'Heart Shaped Box', 'Dumb', and 'All Apologies'. If you are a fan of Nirvana, you will love this album, believe me. :-)
