The game takes place in Transylvania and has players progress through Castle Frankenstein and Castle Dracula. Within this horror movie world, Van Helsing encounters several monsters from Universal Studios' archives. Dracula, the Wolf Man, Frankenstein, Igor, and Dr. Jekyll are just some of the licensed characters the monster hunter encounters and fights, along with hordes of original creatures made for the game. Van Helsing himself is equipped with several weapons, including his signature grappling hook that will work like Indiana Jones' whip, useful both as a tool to move around and a weapon. | |

) i do love this game mostly because im an obsessed van of the vanhelsing moive. There are some things about this game i dont like. The graphics are a bit sektchy. Considering the type of graphics ive seen avablible for the PS2 i know for a fact they could have done a LOT better with the graphics. Also you cant choose when you want to save your game and they dont alow you to be able to freely by the supplies you need for battles. They only allow you to buy the stuff at the end of every mission and you cant hold mor then 3 life replenishers which REALLY sucks when your stuck with a hard boss.
But on a brighter note the game is good because the original moive voices play for most the main characters so it doesnt sound wierd throughout the whole game,the cheat gylphs provide a fair mount of humor for if you need a laugh. i mostly prefre the color body cheat. And its all arounda good game. i couldnt stop playing it when i first got it and i do highly recomend this game.

My nine year old son is really enjoying the game. It is a bit difficult for him but he is enjoying the challenge. The game is based on the characters from the movie and it is fun for him to try and defeat Mr. Hyde, Dracula etc... I would rather have him fighting imaginary characters than playing a war based game any day.

Excellent PS2 Game

) This is a really fun game to play if you like first person shooter games. Lots of creatures and weapons to fight them with! Once you finish the game you can start a new one at a more difficult level and keep all the weapons and bonuses you acquired from the previous game.
VAN HELSING

) VERY REALISTIC < LOTS OF ACTION< COULD PLAY FOR EVER WITHOUT DOING THE SAME THING TWICEAAAAA+++++my 13 year old daughter loves it too. so realistic sne won't play it in the dark. too much for her younger brother who is 7, it makes him have nightmares.

ive playd this gane and just cant get pass't the brides:( its fun but if you are like me and have an ation span of a gold fish and cant get passd some levels cuz thare are no cheat codes for this game yes i cheat but its worth the price
