ViewSonic PJ588D DLP Projector

This is a used item, but it looks and works like brand new. The only give-away that it has seen service is the little sticker of a flower on the front case.

It was easy to set up, and did all the automatic things I've come to expect from a 'plug-and-play' accessory. The remote control is easy to use, and has a laser pointer built in. The keystone control works excellently, and it is very easy to set the boost/normal/economy mode brightness. To be honest, the economy mode does a very good job in a normally lit room in the mid afternoon.

I especially like that the unit does not take a long time between shutting off the lamp and the cooling fan stopping. The fan stops and the unit powers down in 20 to 30 seconds. There is a caution in the manual to avoid changing the light source unless the unit has been shut off for 2 to 3 hours, because the bulb still remains hot enough to cause burns to fingers for a long time.

All in all, I very much like this projector for the intended purpose of showing presentations to meetings of about 20 people, and showing videos to my family.

There is nothing about it I dislike. I would prefer a smaller footprint, but the size does allow much finer adjustments to leveling than do smaller units.

This projector is being used for church to display song lyrics and for video clips. It is in a large room with high light levels. It is bright enough to be seen very easily and still has a sharp focus. I am very happy with this purchase.
