ViewSonic Value VA2431WM 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - Black

Pros:Bought it at Buy.com. This monitor is very large & has a clear picture. I read all the reviews I could on it before buying it & it has no dead pixels. I can not tell you much about the speakers because I have a surround sound system instead. I have watched movies on Netflix & they have been great.

Cons: One con is no DVI cable only VGA. I was lucky to have an extra DVI cable. Another con would be no HDMI input, but if you use a DVI cable you wouldn't see much difference.

Other Thoughts: Over all this is a great buy & fine monitor, I wish I would have bought this one for my wife too, but I didn't.

I am very pleased with this monitor. Very good picture quality and easy set up. At $130 with free shipping I consider it a bargain as well.

This is my first LCD monitor. I anticipated some challenges when setting it up. I am using Windows XP. Installation was more or less plug & play. Turn off the computer, connect the wires, boot the computer, set the resolution in My Computer and you are ready to go. I did not use the disc included with the monitor. One minor concern; the installation directions were very sparse. Simply a series of drawings. Happily that's all I needed.

If you have never used a monitor this large before you are in for a pleasant surprise. There is plenty of room to display two pages of a document, large photos or drawings etc.

The monitor is very bright with good colors.

My rough calculations indicate that this monitor will use approximately 28% of the electricity of my old CRT not counting the ECO mode.

The monitor has built in speakers. Other reviews indicate that they are marginal. I didn't bother using them. I am satisfied with my current speaker and woofer system.

All & all a great buy.

I'm not a professional about monitor.
I just wanted a working monitor for my computer.

Pros:
The color and picture quality are good to me.
I had no dead pixel, no problem on side view, and no problem with the configuration.
I use it for video games, videos, and work and I'm very satisfied.

Cons:
I was curious to see how were the build-in speaker so I tried and the result was terrible. Better use stereo speakers than the monitor one. The sound is like coming out of a toy or something.

Viewsonic is a quality brand and that shows in this giant 24" monitor. Crisp colors and bright picture make this a great buy. Also has built in speakers which I did not initially see in the product description.

I had a ViewSonic previously and after a couple of weeks of searching decided to purchase another.
Picture quality is great! Normal monitor features. I would have given it 5 stars if it came with an ergo stand. I used the one from my previous monitor. I picked this up on Ebay brand new for $140 and free shiiping so it was a no brainer.
