ViewSonic VP2030B 20.1" LCD Television

Great color and very sharp. Stand makes monitor easy to pivot in multiple directions. Portrait mode CAN work on a Mac - albeit you must have a certain OS X version. I have a Powerbook 1.66 Gig

Downside - slows down the computer a bit to show data on both screens.

This monitor is a step up from my standard CAD monitor, the VG2021m, which has become hard to get new.
It has the same great display, nice clean design, and an improved base with height adjustment that my customers really like.
Unlike most wide-screen consumer LCD's, it has a standard aspect ratio, giving a full 12.1" height of displayed picture. (most wide screen 20" models only give you between 10"-11"). Much easier on the eyes.
The VP2030b does not have built-in speakers, but most folks don't end up using them anyway, preferring larger separate sound systems.
Like most professional Viewsonic products, this model has a full 3 year warranty, though I have never had one of these series fail yet.

Then following features make this a good buy at below $225.00 If you can get it!
1) 4 USB outlets allow you to have your computer 10feet plus away (safe n sound) using wireless keyboard/Mouse and external USB drives, in addition game controllers
2) Pivoting Display great for spreadsheet application or just browsing around eBay or other Internet acivities as you get to see the whole picture.
3) Truly HD ready and capable of much more using a nVidia Quadro FX for detailed graphics. Capable of 2048 by 1536 pixels

Alas one negative which is why the price shouldn't be any higher than $225.00
poor contrast Ratio. Still this is a excellant Monitor at any resolution
