Vigilante 8 (Sony PlayStation 1, 1998)

Have you ever waken up one day and say to yourself "Man, I wonder if I could have a machine gun on my car" then listen up. Vigilante 8 has that! The game is a car shooter-up. You get to choose cool cars that come equiped with machine guns as well as their own special attack. Along with that, while driving through the level you get to find cool weapon pick-ups like rocket shells,missles,mines,and mortars. The game shows an excellent style of gameplay and superb graphics. The storyline is also well put together. This game is a must buy for all ages but, is a great starter game for any young vigilante and you wont want to stop playing.

This game is the flip side to twisted metal set in the 1970's with a funny side to it. Two car gangs the vigilantes & the coyotes fight in different boards that range from ski resorts, oil fields, canyon roads, vegas, ghost town & etc. The controls of the game are solid, weapons include rockets, missiles, machine guns, mortars, mines, turrent cannon, & each cars special weapon. Must of the weapon will be inside of brown crates that say us army, but the special weapon for your car is in green crates. the fire rate of weapons is slower for certain weapons like the rockets you just hold down the fire button and they will fly, but missiles and mortars fire with a second delay. but a fun must have you have twisted metal

I bought this game for the pleasure of car combat fighting 8 fully 70's style muscle car's truck's and more. Nothing like blowing up other cars kicking butt and takeing names Im a huge fan of car combat game's. This game is all about 70's car warfare involving huge missiles and manic action that literally is a blast take the law in your own hands.
A vary fun playstation game I recommend this game.

I have fond memories of this game from my childhood. It was one of the few games in my PS1 library and I played the hell out of it. It wasn't too unique by any means since Twisted Metal was out around the same time but for some reason it seemed to run a lot smoother and seem more destructive. I didn't buy this for myself however, my girlfriend is always talking about how she used to play it religiously and I don't believe her so I bought it so she can prove me wrong.

QI have loved this game since day one. I have been a Playstation guy all my life and I still own and use my PS1 and play many games on it. Compared to Twisted Metal this is by far the better, except for Twisted Metal 2, that takes them all. If you want a fun game, appropriate for most ages, this one is a lot of fun. Learn the game because there are a lot of secrets and if you beat it and get bored, use cheat codes and just mess around or play against your friends!
