) A nice book giving an overview of various watch making companies but more a coffee table book than a true reference guide. As with anything the estimated values are out of date and it & curious that over 15 pages (mainly photos of models) devoted to Gruen which is no longer operating yet historic Swiss brands like Titoni & Favre Leuba aren't even mentioned.

) The book offers some great photographs of watch collections (some from the author and her husband) and prices of what they've recently gone for in auction. It's organized as a "dictionary" that showcases a couple of dozen makes of famous and unique companies. Though it gives brief descriptions of famous watches and their history it is not a thorough comprehensive look at watches. It makes a great coffee table book and is ideal for watch enthusiasts.
