Publisher's Note
It's five days before Christmas and things are not looking merry for Fugitive Apprehension Agent Stephanie Plum. She hasn't got a tree. She hasn't bought any presents. The malls are jam-packed with staggering shoppers. There's not a twinkle light anywhere to be seen in her apartment.

And there's a strange man in her kitchen.

Sure, this has happened to Stephanie Plum before. Strangers, weirdos, felons, creeps, and lunatics are always finding their way to her front door. But this guy is different. This guy is mysterious, sexy-and he has his own agenda. His name is Diesel and he is a man on a mission. And Diesel is unlike anyone Stephanie has ever met before in her life. The question is, what does he want with her? Can he help her find a little old toy maker who has skipped out on his bail right before Christmas? Can he survive the Plum family holiday dinner? Can he get Stephanie a tree that doesn't look like it was grown next to a nuclear power plant? These questions and more are keeping Stephanie awake at night. Not to mention the fact that she needs to find a bunch of nasty elves, her sister Valerie has a Christmas "surprise" for the Plums, her niece Mary Alice doesn't believe in Santa anymore, and Grandma Mazur has a new stud muffin. So bring out the plastic reindeer, strap on your jingle bells, and get ready to celebrate the holidays-Jersey style. Visions of Sugar Plums-the world of Plum has never been merrier!

I bought the Stephanie Plum Holiday Novel, Visions of Suger Plums by Janet Evonovich because of relaxing with a fun book. Its a christmas story with a bunch of nasty elves. Strange people, weird people and crooks are always going to Stephanie Plums front door. One strange man is in her kitchen. His name is Diesel. The two go on a search together to find a toymaker who slipped out on bail before christmas. Stephanie is a fugitive apprehension agent. You will have to read this book yourself. It simply has the right humour and suspense to not put it down till its read in one day. Great to read at the holidays or any time of year. It for the young at heart.

Visions of Sugar Plums (Janet Evanovich, Hardcover)

Not your typicial Stephanie Plum novel.
Shorter and some fantasy thrown in.

Well what do you expect when her latest missing bounty is named Sandy Claws and he is holding auditions for little people willing to wear elf ears.
Has a new character named Diesel who is handsome, and has some weird powers going on. He can be annoying and hot to Steph, at the same time.

Some of the usual characters with her family and friends but to me a Plum novel with too little Ranger is not up to par for me.
I love Evanovich's writing and especially the Stephaine Plum character but came away with "I want more" and to spend more time with my favourite bounty hunter.

A quick, amusing, fast read.
Glad I didn't pay full price and bought it in eBay.

Great Book , Great Price

It is a Great book by a Great author! Evanovich has done it again! Miss Plum the bounty hunter is the best female kick-butt bounty hunter ever! Even though there is the addition of the newest character to the plum series, diesel, Ranger is still top dog in my book! This did seem to be a bit on the cheesy side, but it is defiantly a great buy!

Visons of senility?

While I get a kickout of the Stephanie Plum series, this was more like Stephanie in the twilight zone. I fully expected Stephanie to wake up from a drunken stupor on the last page, that is how weird this story was. Perhaps Janet Evanovich was tipping the bottle when it was written. It is still a fairly enjoyable read at only 150 pages. I rate it about a five on the good 'ol scale. Kind of a let down when I was expecting Stephanie Plum quality in a Christmas setting.
