The focus of this 500 mm lens can be automatically adjusted to shoot images, with a minimum focusing distance of 2 m. Compatible with teleconverters, this Vivitar Series 1 f/6.3 doubles the focal length to 1000 mm for unambiguous detailing of tiny distant objects. With an aperture range of f/6.3, this Vivitar lens ensures you capture bright pictures. The 5-degree coverage angle of this 500 mm lens allows you to photograph regular-format pictures. The lens construction of 7 elements in 6 groups of this Vivitar lens corrects optical aberrations. The Vivitar Series 1 f/6.3 lens is equipped with 95 mm front and 34 mm rear filters that protect your lens from dust and scratches.

    This is a good value for the money for the amature photographer who wants to get some good long distance shots without spending a forture on a lens. It is lightweight, easy to carry and comes with the necessary adapters. It is clear and serves its purpose excellently. I would recommend it to anyone. Usually the rule is you get what you pay for but I believe in this circumstance you get a real bargain worth more.
