Good inexpensive DVR.

I have owned several camcorders from cheap to costly and this one is good for the money. The anit-shake feature is very good for video, it will shoot nice quality as long as you do not zoom is real close. Close up video tends to get fuzzy, this is normal among the cheaper DVRs. Still shots are ok is nominal light, in low light or capturing a moving object they will blur out. This is why I have a good camera for stills.
Battery life is as should be expected for a cheaper camera, a few hours use (shooting and preview) will run battery life down. Rechargeable batteries are a must to save money on buyingb batteries all the time. I bought a 8GB card for this, which they say will record up to 4 hours of video. I am sure that new batteries will hold up for this, I would not trust older battery life if I was to record for any length of time.
Overall, this is good for the money if you are not going to use a camcorder much and do not want to spent the money on an expensive model. This has all of the features of one costing $200 more. I do wish it had a flash and an internal battery though. Other tham that, I am happy with the camera.

Not bad for the $$ and for short recordings.
| Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

The product looks good. Very light weight. Works well for casual recording and you cannot beat the price, as well as having a somewhat recognizable brand name. It is kind of fragile and consumes battery power quickly. A closer look reveals low grade parts (ie: chromed plastic, painted plastic) that can easily be scratched and would soon look aged. I bought a 32g card but was never able to test the max record time due to required battery changes.
Though these deficiencies, it is worth the $$ vs paying more for a camcorder that is rarely used on your shelf.

VIVITAR 810 HDA CAMCORDER

I have never had a camcorder. Not sure what to expect. Still not sure about the settings on it but will learn. New batteries in it and a 2 gb card. Left it on till the card was full. The card ran for about 21 min. at that time the battery indicator showed about half full. Did not take still photos with it but tried to take two photos from about 1.5 foot away and all was blurry. Probably has to be normal distance to focus. Am pleased for now, don't need a camera with a lot of extra settings.

easy to use. Not really the best quality, but worth the price. the video is what you might expect from a camera of this sort. No surprises either way.
