Produced by Ivy's Andy Chase, HOW TO WALK AWAY is a smartly melodic, mature pop record not unlike Aimee Mann and Michael Penn's later work. Recorded with guests including Fountain of Wayne's Jody Porter and solo artist Tracy Bonham, HOW TO WALK AWAY also features a pair of duets, with the Psychedelic Furs' Richard Butler (sounding as suave as ever on "This Lonely Love") and Nada Surf's Matthew Caws. Other highlights include the sultry "Just Lust" and the heartfelt ballad, "Remember November."
Editorial Reviews3 stars out of 5 -- Producer Andy Chase matches Hatfield's newly sensual vocals with cool, pop-rock arrangements long on juke-joint guitar and studio-cat keys. Surprisingly vital.Spin eBay Product ID: EPID69602899
