Warcraft III Battle Chest (PC, 2003)

I bought this game before when first came out paying more than 50 dlls for the Reign of Chaos and 20 dlls for the expansion Frozen Throne and believe me when I tell you that those were the best +70 dlls best spent in my life. This game will provide you with hours and hours of entertainment either playing the campaign or playing online. The Campaign has the most amazing story line of all games, similar to Lord of the Rings movies but even better. One of the great features about WC3 is the online capabilities where you can play against other players FOR FREE using the internet allowing hours and hours of fun with not only basic maps but the option to download virtually thousands of custom games and maps. Overall this game is a lot of fun and one of the best out there for strategies so I highly recommended.

Warcraft III is one of the best multiplayer games to date..not to mention single player...which has a decent storyline that will keep you compelled to play to say the very least...but again, the big selling point here is online play..not only can you face people around the world and compete in numerous amount of tournaments, but you can also face people in their own customs maps, which in themselves, are very interesting to say the very least...this game has a little something for every and I would definately recommend this game to anyone who likes this type of genre

The game itself is an excellent adaption and visualization from its predecessor, Warcraft II.

The addition of the hero system is a great add on (and the concept for the far more popular, World of Warcraft "heroes (( players))" ). It provides a rich storyline with unique command and conquer style tactics, with so many different levels of play as to keep you on your toes. You can adopt a fairly defensive approach to most of the game play, but the much harder, but tactically rewarding way is an aggressive offensive on your enemies.

Bugs (Or rather, flaws by design): You can use the Paladin's primary ability, which allows you to heal the living and harm the undead, to actually harm the demon Mal'Ganis, who many WoW players would not attribute as "undead", but rather a demon. For WoW purposes, Dreadlords are undead and can be attacked as such.

Vista : Vista players will find the cinematic scenes occasionally glitchy and pixel intensive, as it didn't quite adapt into the Vista setup, wasting an amazing display of graphics. For WINDOWS XP users, so long as you have enough RAM, this should play just fine.

Addons: World Editor is the most amazing feature about this game. It will allow you to create an entire map based on your specifications, including rules, settings, triggers, bosses, quests, allowing you to create unique and diverse situations that may not be pre loaded into the game.

Warcraft III is still the best Real Time Strategy game out there. Yes, there are others, but this one still competes well and is very fun to play. Well worth spending a few hours on line testing your skills or just playing the campaign mode by yourself. The Frozen Throne expansion pack adds even more with new units and heros. It's just good fun!

The graphics are good and the plot is good. The real strength of this game is Blizzard.net the free online gaming community. The custom games are where it shines. Overall great game to play.
