) Kathy Flood has given her readers a magic carpet ride through the world of collectible jewelry. Well researched and deliciously written. Something for savvy jewelry enthusiasts as well as newcomers. Historically correct with lots of who's who entries. An educational read that allows you to feel like you've found something rather than had it fed to you...tricky to do yet very well done! This is my first book by this author and I am more than satisfied and intend to purchase more of her books. A must for lovers of costume jewelry!

Good book for anyone desirous of expanding horizons beyond great costume (included) into jade, pearls, etc. Love the categories, from Art Nouveau to Art Deco. Fun to read. Pix gorgeous. For men who haven't succeeded in giving jewelry to gf's or wives at holidays, bdays, special occasions, give this book and tell her to choose what she loves. You'll score major points.
