The Wedding Singer (DVD, 1998)

Frank Coraci, Adam Sandler, Drew Barrymore|Theatrical release: 1998 | Rating: PG-13 (MPAA)

Movie synopsis

New Jersey wedding chanteur Robbie Hart loses all hope after being abandoned at the altar by his fiancee Linda. Enter Julia, an effervescent ray of light in the shape of a catering-service waitress, who enlists Robbie's help in planning her own wedding--to a sleazy, DeLorean-driving junk bond salesman who tomcats around and treats women like unfeeling slabs of meat. Can our hero win Julia over before she elopes to Las Vegas? Will Billy Idol save the day? And, most importantly, will the fluffy romantic storyline be completely overpowered by the weighty mid-1980s cultural references? THE WEDDING SINGER is cheesy fun for the nostalgically inclined. Steve Buscemi tries to steal the film in an uncredited role as a drunk best man, but that honor actually goes to Alexis Arquette, as "George."

Wedding Singer is a heartwarming classic!!!!

Created: 15/04/08
The Wedding Singer is definitely my favorite Adam Sandler movie and is one DVD I have to keep in my collection. Ive sold almost my entire collection multiple times and keep going back to buy the Wedding Singer. You just cant be without it.

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler have awesome chemistry in the picture. They go great together and (I think) would make a cool couple. Sandlers wife has to be something---if he ever got divorced someone should give him the hint about Barrymore.

Drew looks the best she ever did in this movie. By far. Especially when her mom in the movie tells her she is much better looking than the "Linda" girl that dumps Sandler. Sandler knows how to get a cast together. The cast here totally rocks. It has many guys that are usuals in Sandler movies along with Billy Idol. ((no Rob Schneider---yay!!!!!))

If youre looking for romance this is your movie. If youre looking for laughs, try some of Sandlers others like Happy Gilmore. Wedding Singer isnt loaded with laughs but has a couple killer parts. If you dont smirk at Steve Buscemi falling off the stairs, dropping his glass, moaning ""arrrrrrr" like an old coon hound--you dont have a pulse.

I bought this DVD because I love Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. They have great chemistry in this movie. Great movie if you love romantic comedies! Very funny / lots of 80's clothes, music etc...even Billy Idol makes a cameo!!! Plus there is Karaoke on the DVD and music videos to sing along with including "White Wedding". This is a classic!! :)

The Wedding Singer - Adam Sandler

This movie has been a favorite of the family for years. I had to get another copy since we lost it in moving.

This is such a great film, one of Adam Sandlers best. He is still funny as he usually is but does a good job with the whole romance thing. He and Drew Barrymore have great chemistry!

This is a must for any DVD Collector.
