The Weight Loss Cure "they" Don't Want You to Know About by Kevin Trudeau (2007, Book)

I enjoyed reading the book The Weight Loss Cure They Don't Want You to Know About by Kevin Trudeau. I was disappointed because he said it would be a very easy cure, but the cure is very long, expensive and needs injections of a product that is not available for the ordinary person. The examples he gave of people who have done the cure are all very wealthy movie stars, etc. I therefore felt he gave a false advertisment in stating it was a easy way to be cured of weight gain.

I bought this book because Im a big fan of Kevin Trudeau. Im a big believer in his thoughts and suggestions about the food and drug industries.
This particular book focuses on the long struggle with weight loss and dieting, almost 80% of Americans have weight issues.
Kevin offers you a protocol on how to loose weight. This protocol has been used by thousands of people all over the world and now he offers it to you.
If you have the money and time than this protocol is for you! Nobody says it would be easy, Kevin suggest an injection of a drug called hCG this and an all organic food diet is the cure they don't want you to know about. If you have four months lots of money and aren't afraid of injecting yourself with a controversial drug than this is the diet for you.
Im sure it will work but he lost me halfway through the second protocol.
Even if you do some of what he suggest in this book you will loose weight.
But remember it's a lifestyle change!!

Mr Trudeau's weight loss cure is a very longggg list of supplements that are all good for weight loss and health (most) but to use all of them on the list would be close to impossible-read this but also check out Fred Bisci4health (dot) com. Freds book is much more doable and uses some of the "secret formula" kevin describes. Like most of his work the book can be summed up in pamphlet form.

In connection with his promotional activities he has had a felony conviction and has been an unsuccessful defendant in several Federal Trade Commission (FTC) lawsuits. Trudeau has been charged several times by agencies of the United States government for making claims without evidence. In these cases Trudeau signed a consent decree in which he did not plead guilty but did agree to stop making the claims and to pay a fine. Trudeau subsequently began to sell books, which are protected by the First Amendment and which he thus cannot be prevented from publishing.[24]

Trudeau was convicted of fraud and larceny in the early 1990s.[43] The FTC has sued him repeatedly. A court order currently restricts his ability to promote and sell any product or service; however, he is permitted to promote books and other publications due to free-speech protection under the First Amendment as long as they are not used to promote or sell products or services and do not contain misrepresentations.[7][8] On November 19, 2007, a court found Trudeau in contempt of that court order for making what they consider deceptive claims about his book The Weight Loss Cure "They" Don't Want You to Know About.[44][45] In August 2008, he was fined more than $5 million[46] and banned from infomercials for three years for continuing to make fraudulent claims pertaining to the book. The amount of the money damages was later increased to $37 million.[47]
2010: Arrest for criminal contempt of court

On February 11, 2010, Trudeau was arrested and forced to appear before Judge Gettleman for criminal contempt of court after he "asked his supporters to email the federal judge overseeing a pending civil case brought against him by the Federal Trade Commission." He was forced to turn over his passport, pay a $50,000 bond and was warned he could face future prison time for interfering with the direct process of the court.[63] Well-known critic of Trudeau, Stephen Barrett, the creator of Quackwatch.org, "has for years labeled Trudeau a fraud" and was quoted: "He struck me as somebody who (believes he) is omnipotent. That is, no one can touch him," Barrett said. "That’s almost been the case."[63]

I was very disappointed to find this book is misleading and overall useless to the audience that it is attracting - the normal everyday person. Please don't expect this to be the miracle the book makes it out to be because you'll be very disapointed. If your still interested in checking it out after you read my comments - buy on e-bay - anything over $2.50 is too much.

If you've already researched basic wellness = organic/non-organic foods, whole foods vitamins, water, exercise, portion control, colon cleansing, etc. you can skip the first 36 or so pages. If not, it's something everybody should look into.

A close read will find diets and diet pills are condemed at the beginning of the book because they only work while you're on them - yet this plan is just another diet that well only works while you're on it. You will not be a skinny person who can eat anything you want,in any quantity as the book seems to suggest at first. It does get to the truth but only after 2/3 through the book.

The CURE isn't a cure it's a life style and just like diet pills when you stop eating the DIET and regimen suggested - the weight will come back and then some. If you can afford to go to dr every morning for 45 days to get a special shot, and live by the very scietific and strict "diet" and regimen - like 15 colonics in a month - yeah right - then you probably have more money and time then anyone else on the planet.

The list of things you're expected to do and for the duration they have to be done is ridiculous and nearly impossible!
