The Whole Ten Yards (DVD, 2004, Widescreen)

Howard Deutch, Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry|Theatrical release: 2004 | Rating: PG-13 (MPAA)

Movie synopsis

In hiding in Mexico, hit man Jimmy "The Tulip" Tudeski (Bruce Willis) has become a veritable Martha Stewart, cooking and cleaning up a storm. Meanwhile, his new wife Jill (Amanda Peet) is distraught that her own career as an assassin has yet to take off. When Jimmy's ex-wife Cynthia (Natasha Henstridge) is kidnapped by Hungarian mobster Lazlo Gogolak (Kevin Pollak), her husband, klutzy dentist Nicholas "Oz" Oseransky (Matthew Perry) turns to Jimmy for help. Soon, Jimmy, Jill, and Oz are involved in a game of cat and mouse with Lazlo and his men trying to trade Cynthia for Lazlo's dim-witted adult son, whom the trio has kidnapped. But do Jimmy and his ex have a secret that they're not sharing with their spouses? Are their new marriages just an elaborate ruse in order to pull off a huge scam? And will Oz ever see his beautiful wife again? Directed by Howard Deutch (PRETTY IN PINK, SOME KIND OF WONDERFUL), this sequel to THE WHOLE NINE YARDS is filled with quirky characters, amusing banter, and plenty of physical comedy. Pollak is particularly amusing as a master criminal surrounded by an inept team.

Rent this one first, but you'll probably buy it

The sequel to The Whole Nine Yards, it features the same dynamite cast from the original as well as some new hilarious additions.

The Whole Ten Yards is even funnier than the original and features a great ending. Bruce Willis is the shining star in this picture and his breakdown scenes are among the funniest scenes from any action film.

Final Verdict:

4/5

Rent or Buy?: This one is a rental first in my opinion. Some people absolutely love it, others hate it, rent it first and decide for yourself.

Its very funny a little confusing so you have to watch it a couple of times, theres a little bit of a backstory so you kinda figure why Bruce Willis becomes Jimmy the Tulip, reason I decided to buy it is because I could not find it on dvd in any store,I was told it was very funny and thats why I bought,I would still recomend you buy both movies, because they tie in pretty good.

Waterboy with a Major Twist

Holy not for young viewers! Even the previews are racie. This movie gets a ok rating because of the humor. There are alot of sexually natured jokes an puns in this movie, an there are so many in fact it gets alittle old by the time the movie is over. The story line is surrounding a Bad lucked Coach who gets black mailed by an old coaching friend. You flash back though out his bad luck history an his falling apart life, with his cheating wife, an slutty out of controlled teen daughter, whom is only naughty to get some type of attention from her father. This movie perhaps would be more humorous if I had a few beers before viewing, but unfortunately i was very sober =/ This movie gets one thumbs up.
